My non-biological family

(Bucks POV)

Ever sense I joined the 118 I felt like I belonged in some way. People always tell me that "Its silent (No Q word here) without me in the 118." I have been here for about 3-4 years and they became my family. I mean Chim is kinda my family because he and my sister have a kid and are married so-. These guys are the family I have always wanted. My real family (Minus Maddie) didn't really like me? I mean they knew I was there but didn't really pay much attention. Not like I wanted it anyways. I do have a mom and dad at the 118 or at least they are kinda like parents I mean better than my biological ones anyway. Their names are Bobby and Athena. I don't know if they see me as a son or not but I see them as parents and their kids Harry and May are like my little siblings.

I wasn't really the "Perfect" child at first. I would take the firetruck and hook up with girls but that was Buck 1.0 I am on Buck 3.0 That's only because Buck 2.0 got dumped by his girlfriend, his got his leg crushed by a firetruck and almost lost his firefighter family. I am a new man now. Did I tell you I have a crush on my best friend? I didn't well his name is Eddie. Yes him. I am a very touch-deprived bisexual adult. 

"Buck. Earth to buck!" Hen said. "Oh uh yeah?" I said getting out of whatever I just did- "You were spacing out" Chim says looking up from his newspaper he's reading. "Oh I was? Sorry." I replied. "Well it's ok but we were talking about-" Hen got cut off but the bell ringing. "Oh look the bell." Chin says and everyone got up to get their gear and get in the truck.

We arrived at the place and uhh how do I say this- it was weird. We were looking at someone hanging upside down by a rope and a different person with a bucket on their head? I mean how-? I shouldn't really question it should I? "Ok Chim and Hen go to the person upside down and Buck come with me." Bobby saids. Man I wish Eddie was here but he's off for a couple of days. "Uh sir whats's your name?" I ask looking and thinking of how we can get this bucket off his head. "Uh my name is Jared." "Ok well how did this happen?" Bobby asked. "Me and Ashley were just playing around and I tripped on something and I landed in a bucket." Jared said. "What kind of fun were you having?" I asked kinda confused. "We were trying to do something." "Well we are going to have to put lotion on your head to get the bucket off." Bobby says. Jared just nodded and I ran to the truck getting the lotion. I look over to how Hen and Chim were doing and they were almost done. "Here cap." I say giving Bobby the lotion. He got the bucket off of his head and Hen checked him out to make sure there was nothing wrong with him. There was nothing wrong with either of them so we packed up and left.

"That was weird." I bluntly said. "Yeah it was. The first time I agree with you." Chim says. We get back to the station and to my nightmare we are called out again. How fun. This one was more of the normal ones we have. The classic getting a cat out of a tree but sense Eddie wasn't here do that I had to. Don't get me wrong I love animals but cats I don't really like, for some odd reason they do not like me much. In the end I only ended up with some cuts.

Ok so going back to spacing out and not listen to what Hen has to say. The 118 always have a dinner night. That night being Friday-Sunday. Sometimes we have one the whole weekend and sometimes I only once on the weekend. To be honest I only care if we aleast have it once a weekend because I can see the kids. If you didn't know I love kids you don't know me.

                                                 (Time skip to dinner)

Now it's third person POV

Everyone arrives at Bobby and Athena's house. Like usual they are talking and having fun. Sadly Eddie and Chris could not make it sense they made plans with their family which saddened everyone but they knew they would still have fun. When Maddie and Chimney got there Maddie looked like a ghost. She had dark circles under her eyes and she looked tired. One thing Maddie loves about the dinner night is that Buck would be there and he can look after Jee-Yun because for some reason when Buck is around her see doesn't cry or anything, she usually sleeps are smiles at him. Everyone knew that Maddie and Chimney were here because they could hear a baby crying. That is what the usually hear when they first get there. Maddie sees Buck and gives Jee-Yun to him and she stopped crying. 

That night they had tons of fun. They played games and watched movies like a normal family would.

This is the reason Buck sees them all as family. It's because he knows he has someone to go to when he needs it. He knows people love him and they will be there for him. Before the 118 he didn't have much family and was ready to give up on life. Him being the lucky person he is he found Bobby and that is one thing he is grateful for.

I didn't really know how to end this. I did say short stories but I also did say some will be longer than others. The next chapter will be a lot of short stories  (you will see what I mean later) and yes Eddie will be alive (Be in them this time) I just wanted Eddie to have more time with family than have to worry about work.
