SUMMARY ! —
DEVYN MCCOY, Midtown High's designated ❛ cool girl ❜ and PETER PARKER, Midtown High's designated ❛ loser ❜, are the unlikely pair. They have been friends since their young years, Devyn's mom moving in next to Peter's aunt. Them, plus the self-assured blonde, Gwen Stacy, have been a trio for as long as they could remember. So why was it that Devyn and Gwen's popularity seem to skyrocket in high school, but not Peter's? In fact, how did he drop lower on the social scale as they climbed it? Although with everyone's newfound adoration for them, they never bothered themselves with anyone but each other and Peter. He was glad because he wouldn't know what to do without them at his side— especially against his biggest enemy so far, Flash Thompson.
With this new popularity, also came new boys and girls trying to get at the brunette and blonde girls— which deeply irritated Peter. As their remaining years of high school are coming to a fast close, Peter attempts to gather the courage to finally ask out Devyn. Although, a radioactive spider puts a kink into his plans as he feels the moral obligation to protect his city, Queens. Now he is forced to juggle being a superhero, a best friend, and —hopefully — a boyfriend too.
