Sorry for the delay. And do shower your love on the epilogue. Oh yes, I still can't believe I am writing (actually done now) the epilogue of Arrange Marriage.

It feels overwhelming and I am going to miss writing it the most🤧❤️

Enjoy Reading.

The whole Malhotra family except Manik was sitting in the hall after their dinner with silence all over the place. They all looked at each other and then at Nandini who had been sitting sadly all the time and just replying in a simple yes or no whenever asked something.

Mukti: Bhabhi, Are you okay?

Mukti broke the silence as Nandini abruptly stood up to leave for her room. She looked down and bobbed her head silently, murmuring a 'Good Night' and walked away making all of them look at each other worriedly.

Cabir: Bhai bhi na!

Cabir sighed, feeling sad seeing Nandini sad. He didn't know why, but he had noticed that if Nandini is sad, the whole house turns gloomy and it eventually makes all of them sad.

Mukti: Bhai ko aise nahi karna chahiye tha.

Navya: Par voh bhi toh majboor hai na. Unki galti bhi nahi hai.

Niyonika: Phir bhi, ek call toh kar sakta tha na voh.

Raj: Exactly. Let Manik come, I am not going to leave him!

Niyonika nodded, all ready to hit her idiotic son whose wife was yearning for him like anything.

Here, in her room, Nandini let out a sigh as she sat on the bed under the thick comforter after freshening up. A lone tear escaped from her eye as she clutched the comforter more tight in her palm. Her stomach ached like someone had thrown thousands of punches from inside, all at the same time but more than that, Manik's absence was paining her, physically as well as mentally.

It was December and the weather outside wasn't helping either. It was freezing cold and even the thick comforter wasn't enough to keep her warm. The weather kept on getting worse with each passing minute and within seconds, there was heavy rain which decreased the temperature more which was already enough to freeze someone. And in this worst weather, all Nandini needed was her husband's warmth who was out of station for an important meeting.

It had been a week since he went. He had been extremely busy all the time there but still kept in touch with her through calls and messages. But it was only for initial four days. She hadn't heard from him from past three days.

When he called two days back, she was in surgery and when she called him back after coming home, he didn't pick up. He was busy, she had made herself understand but now, she was running out of patience.

Her heart was pounding loud in her chest. No, he was safe, she was sure of it but she needed to see him. It was the first time he left her alone after their marriage and now, they haven't even talked.

Didn't he miss her? Only if she knew.

As if answering her question, her mobile rang and Manik's name flashed on the screen indicating a video call from him.

She picked it up, without bothering to sit up or wipe her face which was red due to the tears. Afterall, he should also know what does his absence do to her.

As soon as the call connected, she came across a guilt ridden Manik whose guilt increased ten folds seeing her all red face. He was very well aware of her condition. Work there had kept him so busy, specially from last few days that he even forgot her date.
