(the news announcements are on the opposite side of the page and when its tilted means no one is really paying attention to it)
avenger's pov
the avengers were chatting and playing games in the tower. natasha was reading a book, with the television quietly playing in the background. she would look up every so often to see for anything interesting.
"a body has been discovered..."
"thats cheating!" tony complained to thor as he won a game of chess
"i would never cheat" thor said pretending to be hurt.
"well, you just did" tony said while he stood up, about to exit the room.
"haha, fave it stark your just a sore loser" thor jokingly shouted.
"a young waitress was found and reported dead this morning, with three gun shots to the chest and lower abdomen. taking place in small cafe in town" she said as pictures of the cafe showed up with yellow police tapes surrounding it and sirens in the distance.
tony stoped in his tracks and looked back at thor and defensively said, "what did you say..?"
"he said your a sore loser!" clint said laughing patting tony's shoulder.
tony knocked Clint's hand away.
thor came closer to tony facing one another, like two hormonal teen boys who were about to break into a fight "it's just a game it's not a big deal" he said.
"the suspect, a well known hitman with the name whitewolf" the reporter said.
"well it is a big deal when people like you decide to chea-" tony is cut off by peter waving his hand in front of them trying to get their attention.
"guys! It's her...it's the whitewolf person that fury said we needed to find" peter's finger pointing at the screen
"oh my god..." natasha muttered under her breath.
everyone looked at peter and then to the screen displaying the news. steve turned up the volume so they could hear it.
"unsure why the waitress was murdered, police currently trying to tracking the whitewolf down-" the news said
as james rhodes interrupted, and questions.
"but wasn't the whitewolf assigned to us...not the PD?
"yes, i believe so. i'm assuming because it was recent and in a a public environment that the PD have been called in" vision added.
suddenly tony's phone started to ring.
*incoming call from nick fury*
he picked up, putting it on speaker for everyone to hear.
"i'm sure you've seen the news, she couldn't of gone far. i need you and the avengers to bring her in!" you could practically feel fury's wrath over the phone as he hung up.
"avengers suit up, we leave in 10" steve said leaving the room.
