Dark Paradise

Chapter 1

Sara POV

I watched him walk away as tears poured down my face. The words felt stuck in my throat. I wanted to scream his name out but the words never reached my lips. He was gone and it was all my fault.

I felt a grip on her arm before I was shaken awake.
"Come onnn Sara we are about to land, get your ass up!" I could recognise that voice anywhere.
It was my best friend Regina. We have been stuck at the hip since we were little. We became friends because Regina had walked over and demanded that we be friends. Regina isn't a mean person but she can be.

"I don't see why we have to go to an all boys school, I mean I love how they are now letting girls in but why does it have to be me" Regina has been complaining about this school since the minute her family told her she was going.
"Regina stop complaining already you are giving me a headache" Annalise had finally woken up. She was sitting behind them on the plane next to her brother Phenix who was still asleep with headphones on.
Her and her brother do everything together, it helps that they are twins. Both have a passion for art one being music one being painting and all that jazz.
Lastly there was Emma who ran to the window seat as soon as we got on the plane. She hasn't been able to sit still since the plane had taken off.
"I want this plane to land alreadyyyyy, I'm bored!" She was also very impatient.
Emma ended up pulling out her phone and putting on a movie which of course was all of their favourite movie 'Mama Mia' even Phenix loved it because of the music. She didn't put in headphones but no one seemed to mind.

"Can you turn that crap off" I jumped a little hearing it. A random deep voice out of nowhere.
I looked around to be greeted by a pair of light blue eyes glaring at Emma. I've never seen him anywhere before. I wanted to say something to defend my friend but there was something about the way he was looking at them that made me scared but also curious about him.
Regina sighed from beside her and rolled her eyes "Turn around there's nothing to see here okay" I have seen Regina mad before but she wasn't normally a mad person.
I watched the man disappear for him to reappear but this time staring at Regina.
"Why should I listen to you? Tell me" He moves more of his face into sight. "Tell me why I should even give a shit about what you say".
I was too focused on scanning every feature on his face. From his dark brown hair to his jawline. I didn't realise how long I had been staring for, even what they were saying until I was pulled out of my thoughts by a thud. Regina had kicked the back of his seat causing him to look away.
"That's right look away" I heard Regina mumble under her breath unsure if the man had heard her or not and if he decided to ignore it.

Brian POV

Of course, I had to be seated in front of some crazy bitches playing Mama Mia so loudly. I didn't wanna hear some cheery songs when I'm going back to hell.
"Gosh dude, why are you so grumpy, leave those girls alone" I glared at Jack, one of my best friends since kindergarten. He's the guy who opens your door for you or helps you pick an outfit. Me and Jack are definitely not alike.
"Honestly Brian, Jack's right, do you have a stick up your ass today or something?" This time it's Andreas that I send a death glare at. "Geez sorry for saying anything" Andreas was too childish most of the time but he was manageable.
"Andreas, what did you do now to piss off Brian?" That was from Josh, Andreas' older brother and skater boy who was way too perfect to be real. Josh and I have been partners in crime for a while. Doing a bunch of crazy shit at ethereal academy. There was also Ethan who was sleeping next to me. He said he wanted to sleep through all of the flight because "he needed to get his beauty sleep to do great in school." He was a straight A student and everyone loved him.

"I did nothing, Brian's the one who's pissed with anyone near him, including strangers" Andreas seems very offended for some reason, but I don't have the energy to care. "It's not like he doesn't act like this usually, why was your first thought that I did it?" Josh just looked at him in a judgemental way. "Andreas, I can think of multiple times where you've ruined Brian's mood for the rest of the day" Andreas puts on a hurt expression "That's so not true Josh!"
I've had enough of this, "Can you guys shut up, I want some peace before we land into hell" All the guys laugh while I stare at them, not amused.

"Yeah, I'm sure you're the one that's hell" I heard that redhead girl who kicked my seat earlier say. I turn around again and say "What did you just say?"
"Oh nothing you should be worried about"
"That's what I thought" I say under my breath and turn around.
"Excuse me?" the redhead says to me, I turn back around.
"I said, that's what I thought. '' She looks like she's about to launch at me before the girl next to her takes her hand. Which brings my attention to her brown curly hair and eyes. "Regina, just drop it, he's just some stranger anyway" She had a very soft voice that I wish I could listen to often. She then looks at me and we lock eyes. I wonder where she's going after this plane lands. I'm disrupted from these thoughts when the intercom on the plane says we are gonna land in five minutes. That Regina girl finally sits back down and I turn back around. Here we go again, another year at ethereal academy.
