i don't know if you meant too,
i don't know if you're self aware,
but you truly broke me.
you shattered me into a million pieces.
you stole my heart,
and burned it,
and tortured it,
and tossed it away as if it never meant a thing to you.
you taught me
love hurts more than it heals.
you reminded me
how fragile my heart really is.
you told me
all passion, all emotion, all happiness i'll ever have is purely temporary.
and, most of all, you proved
pain lasts longer than love.
