Reunion

A/N: I'm back! If you haven't read Caught and Released yet I recommend reading it before this one.

Daniel couldn't believe what he saw. The TV was turned to the news station, showing a picture of none other than Amarvus. Daniel and his brother, Michel, were currently starring dumbfounded.

"Is that..?"

"Yeah. Yeah, that's him." Daniel couldn't take his eyes off of the screen.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure!" The news anchor was covering the story of the strange transmissions that were received earlier that day.

"The speaker seems to be different for other areas, and the language they are using is unknown.

They expanded the video and started it. Daniel could understand him just fine. "Hello, I am sending this out to speak to Daniel. I have great news! Our governments have finally decided to reach out to your planet and would like to make contact. I will be waiting for you in the same place I dropped you off so we may discuss further. I hope to see you there."

"Authorities are still trying to track the signal. More as the story develops." They turned the TV off. Daniel could barely believe it. He was back. Two years, and he came back.

"That was kinda freaky."

"I have to go."

Michel turned to Daniel, "What?! Where?"

"He said he wanted to talk to me. I have to go back to where he dropped me off."

"You understood that?!"

"Yeah, and I'm going to go and talk to him."

"Are you sure about this? I mean, what if something happens?"

"Amarvus wouldn't hurt me. I'll be fine."

"Ok, go. But if you get dissected don't blame me!"

"Not gonna happen. Tell Mom and Dad where I'm going, ok?"

"Yeah, yeah. I will." Daniel grabbed his keys and started to leave.

"Wait a second. This is my apartment, you've gotta go."

A drive and hike through the woods later, Daniel found the small field he was dropped off in what felt like so long ago. Off to the side was a small ship, and standing right beside that was...

"Amarvus?"

"Hello, Daniel."

"Amarvus!"

He gave a smile, "It is so good to see you again, dear. Come here, let me get a good look at you." Daniel walked up to Amarvus, who cupped his face in his hands, "There is my darling." Daniel leaned forward for a hug, "Oh! Well, hello! Oh, I missed your hugs!" Daniel felt those familiar four arms wrap around him.

"I missed you too." Daniel snuggled in further. They stayed like that for a few minutes, Amarvus running a hand through Daniel's hair every so often. They eventually let go.

"Alright, as much as I would love to spend the day catching up, I need to speak with you about something."

"Yeah. Government thing, right?"

"Yes. I need to speak with yours. We would like to have ambassadors for and from your planet. Since you have a translator already..."

"You want me to talk to them for you."

"Yes, that would help greatly."

"Ok. This should be... fun."
