"What?!" Napapikit ako dahil sa sabay-sabay na sumigaw ng mga kaibigan ko. Hindi yata makapaniwala sa balitang sinabi ko na ikakasal na ako.

"Joke ba 'yan, 'bro?" Jace Enrile asked while laughing. He is our Chief Marketing Officer. Ang pinaka-slow na laging nagpi-freeze ang utak pero kapag tinamaan ng tama ay mapapahiya ka.

"Fucking serious, sucker?" kunot noong tanong ng Chief Financial Officer naming si Zeus Del Valle. The playboy amongst us, and the most fucking wild in bed.

"Are you playing with us, man?" Blaze Gonzales the Chief Strategy Officer asked me seriously. The less talker, with a hot and cold attitude.

"Pwede ba, let Phoenix explain first." Diana Dane Dy, the only girl in the group. The eldest in the group, too, is our CEO. The intimidating and fearless. "But seriously, Nix? You will get married to your Grandpa's adopted daughter?"

"Don't call me Nix, Dane, and yes, I have no choice. Grandpa will not help me." Nandito kami ngayon sa opisina ni Dane dahil kakatapos lang namin magbigay ng monthly report. I am the Chief Operating Officer and chilliest of all, pero mukhang hindi ko makagawang maging chill ngayon.

"So, this is all about the Luxury?" Dane asked so I sighed.

They are my friends since elementary, kahit nahiwalay sa amin si Dane noong highschool dahil sa USA kami nag-aral na apat, but we still keep in touch with her. At nagkasama-sama ulit noong collage sa USA. Doon kami nakapag-umpisa ng maliit na business two years ago after all of us graduated, and extended it here in the Philippines.

"Ano ba'ng meron sa Luxury na yan at atat na atat kang maging part owner diyan?" Blaze asks but I did not answer.

"Diyan yata siya unang nakipag-sex---aray!" Binato ko ng ballpen si Jace dahil sa sinabi niya.

"She first met Jessa in Luxury." Napatingin ako ng masama kay Dane. "What? Totoo naman 'di ba?"

"Hindi ka pa rin nakakapag-move on sa ex mo? She will get married, right?" Zeus asked.

"Kahit maudlot ang kasal niya ay ikaw naman ikakasal," Dane added. "So what's the use?"

"Wasting money, wasting life." Minsan lang magsalita si Blaze but once he talked ay isasampal niya sayong bobo ang mga desisyon mo sa buhay na akala mo siya hindi nagkakamali.

"I still want it," I insisted.

"Hayaan niyo siya. Siya naman matatali hindi tayo," Jace said. "Kailan ba ang kasal ng makakain ng lechon?" he added.

"Sunday."

"What?!" sabay-sabay ulit nilang sigaw.

"Iyon ang gusto ni Grandpa."

"And you agree?" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ni Dane.

"Do I have a choice? He already sent me the money and I transfer it to Luxury. Now, kung may isa sa inyo ang magpapautang sa akin ngayon para mabalik ko kay Grandpa ang pera. I will cancel his offer." Everyone look at each other and no one answer. "See, pare-pareho tayong wala."

"Alam mo, pag nakita ko yang ex mo ay sasampalin ko yan ng kaliwa't kanan."

"Dane!"

"Laki ng epekto sa'yo hindi mo naman pinakasalan," she added.

"This is the bullshit decision that I have been hearing for my entire life," Blaze said.

"Are you saying that I am bullshit, Blaze?"

"Not you, but your decision, and I am stating the fact. You can claim it too if you want."

"Whatever, I just came here to inform you about the wedding and to file a leave. If you want to attend then feel free coz you are all welcome. If not, ayos lang din. This is not important after all." Saka ako tumayo para magpaalam dahil may kakatagpuin pa akong meeting sa labas.
