Narrative: Peter Parker has never really liked Michelle Jones-Watson. Her aloof and inconsiderate attitude irked him to no end. He envisioned her as some demon using any means to torture him, both physically and mentally. But what if, during a Halloween party, he gets to see a completely different side to Michelle. After all, the devil was actually an angel.

Peter didn't necessarily hate parties per say. It's just often at times, they ended miserably—and often as many times, usually at his expense. If there was one aspect Peter did enjoy out of them though, it would have to be the free snacks and booze.

Nothing like a bowl of chips and salsa downed with a can of cheap beer to wash the sorrows away.

There was, however, one other entertaining factor to the current event he attended: the costumes.

It was Halloween. Meaning a time for trickery and creativity. While there were some dressed in the traditional ghouls and monster attire, he found others that went for the less-typical and more modern centered looks. Some costumes he knew from vine compilations on YouTube, whereas others just characters from famous or familiar movies and shows. The most amusing so far had to be the people in the inflatable T-Rex and Clifford the big red dog costumes. The T-Rex had a lightsaber with it as well that the person might've stolen from Darth Vader who Peter had passed multiple times throughout the night.

Well, the balloon theropod had made use of the weapon by chasing around the balloon dog all over the party owner's house, until Clifford was cornered outside by the pool. Let's just say, the sound of a pop and loud splash had made everyone's heads turn. But the soaking and deflated costume that emerged awkwardly from out the pool had caused a larger surge of laughter. Soon, the T-Rex had taken Clifford's place in the chlorine filled box, flailing its little arms around as it floated.

Peter really did love Halloween despite his distaste for big events and previous doom and gloom. He also enjoyed the gleeful looks on his friends faces as they engaged in the standard mingling, party games, and whatever drunk shenanigans most college students find themselves in. Although, he himself, partook in none of it.

There was nobody he wanted to dance with or talk to or do random things based on pure stupidity. And his entire body was sore from the hoards of villains that swarmed the city as of late.

The only reason he attended the party was because of Ned Leeds and Harley Keener.

Ned had been invited by none other than the host herself, Betty Brant—who Ned had some sort of flirtationship with that Peter knew better than to ask. Whereas Harley, being his first time in New York and attending the same college as the other two, wanted to know the experience. He may or may not have also been scoping out the crowd for a boy of the name Johnny that he had met in his mechanical drawing class (A/N: Yes, that Johnny). But that was Harley's business. Meanwhile, Peter was soaked in his misery, loneliness, and quiet observance.
