One cold winter day, Abi --my cousin, and best friend-- and I went up to Pebble Road Cemetery to replace the the flowers on Joshua's grave. Abi's boyfriend died in a car crash about a month ago, and she still hasn't gotten over the fact that he was only 19 when he died. Once we enter the cemetery, my face turns pale thinking that all these stones represent a dead body. As we slowly walk towards his grave, I read the inscription " 'RIP -- Joshua Cruz -- 2002-2021' " Wait... Do you see that?" I ask "What?" she replied "That 'M', carved into the stone on his grave". "People don't know how hard it is to deal with all this funeral stuff, or how much its costing me." she says as she bursts out into tears "I wish he never died in the first place." she sobbed. "Hey look!!! I see footprints. these must lead us to whoever carved the 'M'." I said as I pointed to the foot prints on the ground. "Lets go find out who it is!" I suggest anxiously.
