I don't own anything, just the story.

It's been 6 months since the fight between Invincible and his father Omni-Man, and things have been... Different.

A couple of days after Mark woke up at the GDA, Cecil told him that someone had leaked the audio of the fight, and well let's just say that the whole world now knew the harsh truth about his father. They knew he was never there to protect them.

Mark blamed himself for what happened. It was him who chose to fight Omni-Man. It was him who couldn't save those people, if only he had been stronger... If only he had fought harder... But he knew he was no match for his father...  He was all disappointed.

'How many more need to die, Mark? It's up to you'

Right now he was doing the dishes after dinner with his mom. They were doing okay. It was hard at first, but with time they went through it. Eve was also very supportive. He was so lucky to have a friend like her, someone who understands. When Mark woke up after the fight, he wasn't expecting Eve to show up at his house, but when she saw him she hugged him so hard that he thought if not for his Viltrumite physiology she would have cracked a few ribs.

*BLEEP* *BLEEP*

Speaking of which. Mark glanced at his phone and saw a text from Eve: 'You're still up for tomorrow?' Oh yeah they agreed to go see a movie on Friday. He replied 'Yeah. How about we watch that new zombie movie?' Within a few seconds she texted back 'Ugh fine' He would never understand why she hated zombie movies so much. They said good night and went to sleep.

Well after staring at the ceiling for the past 20 minutes, Mark just couldn't sleep. He kept thinking about Eve, what they went through, how they cared for each other, how they would just sit and talk about their problems. So he asked himself...

Is it really just friendship?

Well uh this is my first story. I hope you like it and sorry if this chapter was too short. I decided to write this because I think there aren't many stories of Invincible on Wattpad... and I was bored. 🦖
