"Maaaaa! Bhook lagi hai!"

He called out .An arrow of pain brought him back to reality.
'SOME HABITS NEVER DIE,' THEY SAY. A few minutes later.
He was at the terrace.Observing the night sky. Hoping for a glimpse of his mother.
Alas, the night sky was wrapped in fuzzy clouds. The flawless tapestry of black seemed worthless without her star.

"Those stolen glances. The teary nights. The beautiful smiles. Somehow, he barely managed to stop drowning in those eyes He couldn't gather the courage to confess to her."

The farewell day.
The feelings suppressed for years finally came out.The fear of never seeing her again did what nothing could do all these years. The end of a beautiful journey became a fresh beginning for them.

I switched to a news channel on the TV.Numerous people clad in PPE-kits were rushing around, trying their best to help patients and fight a nerve-wracking battle against the pandemic."Why did you change the channel? What are you watching?" my mom asked
"I am witnessing superheroes in action!" I replied enthusiastically.

Miles away. City Hospital.A doctor was weeping and filling up her diary.
The night had stolen away her sleep, like every night since the pandemic and the struggle for life began. Every night was filled with hopelessness.

Doctors are superheroes.'
I am not one.
I couldn't help save the lives of the patients.
Every single day, I lost a battle against this pandemic.
Every single day.
That's not what heroes do.
Heroes don't crumple up and cry the whole night.
It's not easy. I have been saying to anxious family members that their loved one will be recover when only I know how critical the condition is.
I have seen cheerful patients crumbling down before my eyes and I couldn't do a single thing.

I am human

It hurts.

I have tears, and, right now, they are unstoppable.
