August 22nd.

12:04 pm

I was casually sitting at my favourite place,

a café a little far from downtown.

But then, I saw you.

Even after days,

I can't believe I still remember the face of the stranger who merely walked my way when I was appreciating loneliness itself.

You ordered your drink and just as if you knew that I was thinking about your presence,

You sat at the table next to mine.

I was in no way assuming anything,

the café is packed and most likely, the only seat you would prefer is the seat next to my table.

I stole very little glances at you in hopes that you wouldn't notice.

You seemed so tired, just like me.

But even when you looked exhausted, you still looked like a damn masterpiece.

Even with tired eyes,

it still had so many sparkles in it.

Your bright demeanour was there again.

You were so approachable that even my introverted self was tempted to just come up and say hi.

You tapped the table into a beat, your head silently cocking back and forth as you listened to your own sound.

I chuckled silently,

but abruptly stopped.

It was rather weird of me to watch a stranger doing his own business,

so I distracted myself by blasting my favourite songs at my earphones,

and then picking up my charcoal pencil, hoping to finally draw something.

With the black pencil twirling around my fingers, I continued to try getting a spark of motivation.

It was one of my antics to sing a little while listening,

but I didn't know even with a seat apart,

you could hear my voice despite the faint public noise.

"Your voice is beautiful."
