PART 24

Roselyn's POV

I was writing away the long hours in the car,It was getting hectic.I'll be lying to myself if this headache and uncomfortable feeling of just getting out of this car wasn't because of the sight from this morning,My mind may be denying the fact but my heart still beats with the same passion as it did before.It wasn't easy seeing hell even a slight thought about what happened between Niklaus and Caroline last night was enough for me.

My thoughts applied pressure to the pen I was holding making it's ink squirt out on the page I was halfway done with,My thoughts were disturbed by a phone call.I saw the caller ID and that was Mrs Choi,The director of Rosa Riddle Group of Companies and Publishers,I picked it up knowing well she won't call me unless it wasn't an important matter,

"Good Morning,Mam.I'm very sorry to disturb you but I'll be needing your guidance on this one"

"Yes,Mrs Choi?"

"The short listed draft is umm....very different than what our company publishes"

"What do you mean?,We publish Romantic-Dark Comedy to Romantic-Tragedy to Psychological-Thriller?'

"This one is just...tragedy with madness"

"Interesting.......Send it to me and inform the respective writer"

"Yes,Mam.Have a pleasant day."

"Thank you,Mrs Choi." I said as I hung up and caught Niklaus looking at me with a smirk "Is there something amusing on my face?" I asked opening my laptop to check out the draft.His smirk grew wider "I wish I could answer that" he said staring into my eyes as I diverted mine to the laptop screen,There was silence for a moment "I didn't know you have a publishing company,Miss Roselyn" mused Stefan driving as I watched Niklaus getting curious too "That is because no one really knows the CEO of Rosa Riddle Group of Companies and Publishers" I answered opening the draft Mrs Choi sent me "Rosa Riddle?As in the ones whose books have these fancy covers?' I nodded smiling as Stefan mused "Does this mean you are a millionaire?"He asked curiously "A possible billionaire,Yes" I corrected with a smirk,

"That's actually very impressive,Does no one question you?" Asked Stefan raising his eyebrow "My accountants have written record of every single earned penny by the company,No one dares to do that" I said as I typed a reply to Mrs Choi about the situation, "I know I shouldn't be surprised after knowing you and yet here I am" said Klaus letting out a chuckle "Life is full of surprises,Niklaus" I said closing my laptop and glancing at the both of them before focusing back on the essay I was writing before,

Time passed and here we were in a different town,Standing outside the SUV looking at the Hotel's building while Klaus and Stefan went somewhere to look for a "clue".

I looked around and started walking down the street,After a little while of walking I found myself in a busy shopping street with loads of shops,restaurants and a cafe,I walked around and while doing so I found a library and smiled at the sight,I was about to enter when I felt a hand on my shoulder.I looked at the owner and it was none other than Niklaus.

"What are you doing here,Love?I just booked our rooms,You should rest for a bit" he said as I nodded and started walking back to the hotel with him,We reached the lobby and Stefan stood near the reception,We went towards him and he handed us the keys to our rooms,The number on the keys caught my eye and I questioned "Why are all the keys numbered 105?" Niklaus smiled a bit "Don't worry,Roselyn.We won't be sleeping in the same room,We booked an apartment with 3 rooms" he said as I nodded and followed him to the hotel,

I opened the door of my room to find my luggage,I'll just take a shower and relax for a bit.

After taking a hot shower,I was sitting on my bed when this sudden crave hit me,UGH I hate late night liver cravings but now is certainly not the time,I sighed and went to the terrace attached to the living room to find Stefan sitting there reading a book.

I sat on the opposite side of him "Don't you think Eleanor's life could have ended with a better twist?" He said referring to the book as I landed my eyes on the book's cover and automatically a smile crept my lips,It was my 90's written novel "The Living Dead",It's ending was quite unexpected,Yes.Many critics said the death of the protagonist was a bold step and I took it as a building advice,I smiled at Stefan "It was the only plot I found suitable for her,After going through such character development sue finally found her reason to live but certainly time isn't someone's slave of phase,She had nothing to loose and her thought of just leaving it all was still there and it happened" I explained as he narrowed his eyes in understanding and nodded in agreement,

"I have read many many of your books,The storylines are very...captivating,How come an Original Tribrid found her passion in writing?" He asked starting a conversation before I could answer I felt another presence there "I always loved writing,Since the day I came to know about creative writing,I fell in love with the idea of moulding random words into something meaningful.Of course,It wasn't really an idea in the late 9th century but my parents supported me" I said leaning back in my seat,relaxing my back "She was amazing at it" A voice said from behind as I looked at a grinning Klaus standing in the entrance of the terrace.

I said nothing to the statement and an awkward wave of silence took place before it got any more awkward Klaus signalled someone to come in and a couple of girls came in with fang bites on their necks "I brought dinner" he said signalling to the girls whom seemed compelled "I had my share" Klaus said as the girls came and sat by me and Stefan,I looked into the ones eyes whom was sitting beside me,They looked numb yet held such emotions in them,

Fear.......fear of dying or maybe the fear of not being able to see the people waiting for her to return,Stupid mortals,I couldn't drink from her.I sighed and felt my eyes change their colour as I looked her in eyes and said "You will go straight home and won't remember a thing that happened today" her own pupils dilated as she repeated "I will go straight home and won't remember a thing that happened today" and got up but before she could leave I casted a healing spell on her wound and watched her leave our apartment.

Stefan and Klaus just looked at me and said nothing while I was compelling her "Your Alpha side is showing,Love" Klaus teased as I passed a weak smile "I already have a lot of that on my hands" I said looking at him as his damn gorgeous eyed sparked a familiar emotion,I diverted my gaze from him to Stefan "Drink but leave her or else you won't see tomorrow's daylight" I warned before getting up,

Third Person's POV

Rose went back to her room and after a couple of minutes she heard a third heartbeat leaving the apartment's radius,She sighed and sat on the floor beside the edge of her bed and looked at the ceiling,Remembering every single memory of that time passing her mind,Little did she know her little sentence made a certain Mikaelson curious,The pain in her eyes while she said it was enough for his heart to clench in his chest but now with that he was curious on what his past lover was hiding,

He was determined to know...Roselyn's little secret.
