━━━━Bringing Out The Dead Part Two━━━━

Her fingers clenched around the silver of her spoon as Klaus rested his hand on her thigh underneath the table.

"I don't know. Ask Damon," Elijah was answered earning a laugh from Klaus as he brought his other hand to his forehead.

Elijah outstretched his hands with confusion, Salem couldn't help but roll her eyes at how childish Klaus was being but she felt her lips upturn. His laughing made her want to laugh to.

"I'm sorry you missed so much. Ah, trouble in paradise," Klaus explained to his brother with a grin.

"One more word about Elena, and uh, this dinner is over," Stefan threatened making Klaus bring his finger up to his lips in a mockery of silence.

"You know what. Probably best just to keep Elena in the do not discuss pile," Damon suggested. Salem was oddly proud with how civil and mature he was being tonight get worried if it meant he was up to something. She'd never seen him like this.

"The same could've been said about Salem but I suppose I'll be kind," Klaus continued.

"Yeah," Damon whispered.

"It's just the allure of the Petrova doppelgänger is still so strong. What do you say, brother? Should we tell them about Tatia?" Klaus questioned Elijah making Salem sit up.

"Who?" She questioned.

"Now why should we discuss matters long since resolve?"Elijah smiled.

"Well given, their shared affection for both Elena and Katerina. I think our guests might be curious to learn about the originator of the Petorva line," Klaus suggested.

"Well we're not going anywhere. Elijah, Please. Do tell,"said Damon raising his glass before taking a sip while Stefan looked highly intrigued.

"When our family first settled here. There was a girl named Tatia. She was an exquisite beauty. Every boy of age desired to be her suitor. Even though she'd had a child by another man. And none loved her more than Niklaus," Elijah said making Salems stomach drop.

She tried to recall from her memories any recollection of Tatia, she couldn't even recall any of Katherine between Klaus.

It frustrated her how much she knew and didn't. She didn't understand why he knew more about her, why he'd seen her since she'd been born.

But she hadn't started having dreams till now. She wished nothing more than to be able to go through his memories herself, but she knew it was wrong and impossible of her.

She couldn't imagine Klaus loving anyone, and yet she wondered if maybe everyone was wrong. Maybe it was incredibly easy for him to fall in love.

"Oh, I'd say there was one who loved her at least as much," Klaus said, Salem couldn't help but want to throw up at the admittance. Centuries ago, this had been centuries ago so who was she to care. She needed to get a grip, this man had started to make her feel delusional.
