discontinued bc i'm not in this phase anymore

i'm not going to gender the parents/care givers bc i hate it when i fic starts talking ab 'me and my dad went shopping!'

i head to my new room , exhausted from the car trip here . i look around for a second, it's bigger than my old room and colder . i could get used to this. the room is filled with boxes , all labeled with it's continents.
"i'll do it tomorrow"
i say to no one . i lay down on the bare mattress on the floor just looking at the ceiling.
"y/n! we're going to have the neighbors over for dinner, could you tidy up your room a little"
my g/l (guardians label) shouted up at me
"sure thing!"
"thank you, y/n"
i begin fixing my room, putting up posters , moving the desk that was in here , piling my books into a corner haphazardly , and put away some clothes.
i check my phone to see the time
8:45 pm
they should get here very soon . i throw on some more appropriate clothes and go down the stairs . just in time apparently, my g/l was already greeting them .
there was a mom , she look so tired
a dad . he seemed like a bit of a weirdo
a little boy , he meat be a nightmare
a middle child , i bet he's a asshole
and the eldest brother , oh....
he's- wow
dark scruffy brown hair , dark brown eyes , tall and lanky
"hope you're all hungry !"

we all sit down at the table , the boy across from me .

'do i look flustered. ofc i do! i need to stop looking at him .'
i reluctantly look away .

"why don't you introduce yourself y/n"

"oh, sure ,um .my name is y/n, i'm 16 , and i play bass"
the boy immediately perks up
"you mean like"
and his did a god awful air guitar
"yea?"
"cool , cool . i play drums"
he says , obviously trying to hide his excitement for meeting a fellow musician.
"i'd love to hear you play sometime"
"uh- yea . um my band has a gig later tonight if you wanna come"
i looked over at g/l
"i don't see why not"

sorry for the short chapter, it's exam week and i i'm to tired to write more<3
(i'm listening to to the cat's musical while writing and omfg rum tum tugger and mr. mistoffelsees are married and i woo the be told otherwise!)
