drifting in your tunes

Xiao goes up to the usual spot.. Where he would wait for the sound of the tune. The sound of the tune that healed him.

Dihua Marsh, it was the first and the last. The specific person who had saved him that day. The person, whom Xiao would wait thousands of years just to hear the tune again. - The place where everything seemed to disappear with his karmic debt he had had since the time of day. — Something that had calmed him down since the start. Something that had been there when he needed it the most.

Something. One thing.

~

Currently observing the usual place, he saw a light figure on the same rock. Same position. Same flute. Same..

Person.

The person whom saved him? But it had been.. centuries of years since that happened. Why were they still alive? Shouldn't they have died years ago? Where peace never was an option?

They are still alive.

Xiao can not believe this. The clearer vision if what has preserved in his mind. The fading black to teal braids, swinging as they move their feet alongside the melody they greatly performed.

The green mixed with tints of white.. the cape. It all seemed to familiar, is it really them? Or was Xiao just hallucinating. He must be, this isn't something that can not be dreamt of.

Everything is a dream.

Xiao thinks it's time to wake up.

He needs to work.

Work.

His vision blurs as his eyes start to close by itself, the pressure on his head and to his feet. Likely enough,

He was shot by some hilichurl.

A voice could be heard. A voice so familiar yet so far from the person he would be thinking of.

A voice of a person he had longed to.. He had longed to.

A person he had longed to see ever since his debt.

Xiao falls on the floor, deeply unconscious. Asleep, waking up sooner or later? No, never. He has to wake up now. He has to.

But, he couldn't control. His karmic debt had been going to him so much, so much that it had been controlling his mind.

No,

He doesn't want it to happen again. He has to live this, he had to live.

Liyue needs the protection, the Millelith can't even manage themselves, further more, protect the whole Liyue from the Harbor to Mt. Hulao, to Qingce, to Jeuyun Karst, to Guili Plains. All throughout Liyue.

Everything.

~

Xiao opens his eyes once again, the daylight had came. And.. He wasn't at the place he fell, moreover, where did he faint? Xiao doesn't remember anything—his head hurts— more than that, where is he?

He moves closer, slightly getting up. - Looking around, he sees numerous people. A lot, in fact. But that was outside, and wait- Outside doesn't look like Liyue? Where had he gone off to again?

Nonsense. No one could have possibly catched him? Right?

But, the place.. It was unusual.

Mumbling words, Xiao tried to get up but couldn't. "Ow." He mumbles out.

A person came in. Someone who had fit the picture of; black fading to teal braids. green cape..

Don't tell Xiao-

He's the person?!

"Glad you're awake." The person said, holding their lyre in the other hand. "You seemed injured when I turned my back because of some thud. Was that you?" They asked Xiao who just looked down in confusion.

"Actually, I truly believe that it was you. There were no one around anyways." They chuckled.

"I'm Venti. A bard, from Mondstadt. Nice to meet you." Venti lends their hand to Xiao. "Also.. Sorry for having to bring you here. You most possibly lived in the Inn, but I can't really communicate that much." They chuckle nervously, obviously embarrassed on what he had done.

Xiao can't believe it, really. He really has to go, what would happen if he wasn't in Liyue? Would all the citizens die?

His thoughts are in shambles, one, no, the nation would be perfectly fine, two, of course they won't.

"Coming from you, I believe you are a vision holder correct? The one anemo from Liyue, I heard all about you." Venti sits near Xiao, not really close to him like shoulder to shoulder, but a distance where Venti would feel that Xiao might be comfortable in.

Xiao nods. Not answering from the sudden introduction, sudden almost death, sudden everything.

"Ah- Anyways. What's your name? It'd be a shame if you would not dare to say your name to the person who saved you." Venti teases the Adeptus with a calm smile.

Should Xiao really tell his name? It would be best not to. But, nothing was stopping him.

"You don't have to answer now." Venti shrugged. "Well, may I escort you back to Liyue?" Greatly asked by Venti, Xiao nodded, even if he knows the way to it.

~

Xiao could describe Venti with one word.

Talkative.

He minded it, but was never too brave to say it directly to the person. - Plus, maybe.. Xiao can say their stories are interesting.

~

"Venti? Oh, so that's the name he goes by."
