Caitlyn breathes out a sigh as she pulls into her parents driveway. She hadn't been back in town since she left for college 4 years ago yet it seemed the town remained the same, almost as if she never left. Pulling her keys out of the ignition, her boots crunch the snow beneath them. She glances up at her childhood bedroom window as old memories of a certain pink haired girl threaten to resurface. Swallowing the lump in her throat, she pushes them back down and prepares herself to face her parents.

                       ———————————-
"Do you really have to keep sneaking me through your window? Your parents already know about us" Vi says as Caitlyn helps her through her window. She chuckles at the memory of her mom barging in with a shotgun the first time she snuck Vi in

"Well no, but do you really want to have to talk to my mother every time you come see me?" She smiles while they lean on the wall by her window

"Okay yeah you do have a point there" Vi looked up with a slight smile on her face. Caitlyn playfully rolled her eyes and grabbed Vi's hands, dragging her away.

"Of course I do, now come here"

                  ————————————

After a painfully long talk with her parents about how her new internship was going and her mother insisting that she should have just joined politics like her she was able to head up to her old bedroom. Luckily her father talked her down and convinced her to at least wait until Caitlyn got settled in to bother her with that again. She loved her parents but sometimes they were...a lot. Hence why she decided to go away for college and was just now coming back to town.
She put her bags down and dragged her hands down her face, took a deep breath and decided that there was no way she could do this sober. Grabbing her keys she said a quick goodbye and left before she could hear her mother's protests.

Looking at her surroundings she realized she had driven to The Last Drop. She didn't even remember driving there, it was just muscle memory. Quickly debating whether or not she should go in there she decided to bite the bullet and just go in. There was a chance Vi would be in there and a part of her hoped she was yet another part was terrified to face her after those years.

The bell hanging on the door chimed as she entered. Shrugging off her jacket she placed it on a hook by the entrance and made her way to the bar.

One drink she told herself one drink and then you're heading home yeah even she knew she was full of shit. She buried her head in her hands and heard a familiar voice that sent goosebumps down her body.

     "Cupcake?"

                     ———————————-

"I have a name you know." Caitlyn stated as she threw her balled up straw wrapper at the girl sitting across from her.

"Yeah I know and I'm choosing not to use it" Vi  giggled and retaliated by blowing her straw wrapper at Caitlyn.

"What's up with that nickname anyways? Why do you call me 'Cupcake'?" She looked at Vi who looked up from the lunch specials.

"Because you're so sweet, like a cupcake." Caitlyn looked away, a blush spreading across her face as Vi smirked picking the menu back up again, knowing the effect she had on her.

                    ———————————-
Caitlyn looked up to see grayish blue eyes looking into her own. Vi had a look of disbelief on her face but her eyes were unreadable. Her mouth suddenly felt extremely dry as she tried to find words.
