The Meaning of Name

- Human! Open the door! this great and mighty Raon Miru has found something interesting!

Cale let out a small sigh when heard Raon voice in his mind then followed with a knock

"Cale-nim"

Choi Han gave an innocent but apologetic smile while entering with several books and kittens in his arm. Cale intends to stay several days in Henituse estate after coming back from the Whipper Kingdom and the Jungle, waiting for Count Deruth decision about Mueller so Choi Han takes this chance to read some books with the children averaging 7 - years - old, sometimes with Cale join in. Usually, they will read in Choi Han room or, when Cale joins in, Cale's study so the children can read comfortably but today Raon, On and Hong seems really excited and bring them to Cale's room with Choi Han.

The little dragon releases his invisibility spell while dumping a tall stack of books in the table from his spatial dimension before flying to Cale's lap who already sitting down on a sofa

"What did you find?"

"Our youngest found something interesting!"

"yes, it's really interesting"

"Human, I found a great book that filled with meanings of a name! This mighty dragon even found your name in it!"

Raon swung his paw, few books were floating in the air with Raon magic while Choi Han put down the kittens, who also agilely jump into Cale's side, and books in his arm before sitting down on the sofa across Cale's. One book flying in front of Cale's face, Raon grab it then point the particular passage with fluttering wings

"Look! According to this book, our human names means 'brave' or 'loyalty'!"

"It's that so?"

Cale responded with an indifferent voice, Raon and the kittens tilted their heads in confusion

"Human, you didn't know?"

"really? It's a great name"

"yes! you're the weakest but really brave!"

"I think your name really fitting for you, Cale - nim"

The kittens and Choi Han share their opinion while Cale frown, he never looks up about it since he found it to be unrelated so he decided to ignore their opinion and question as he asked back to them

"Did you find anything else?"

"Oh, we found others name and their meanings too in other books! But they seem to be incomplete since we can't find Choi Han name on them!"

"so that's why you brought all those books with you?"

Cale's eyes fall on the tall pile of books on the table. He can see that some of them have a foreign language on their title and a few dictionaries as well. Henituse County might be located in the corner of the Roan Kingdom but their library collections were almost on par with the public library in the capital, mostly because Cale and Basen enjoy reading so Count Deruth make sure the library updated, but they still don't have many books written on foreign language.

Apparently, the children take every book in a foreign language inside the library regardless of the topic. Raon moved to the table with the kittens then tapped his paw to the pile of books with a proud voice

"Of course! Since Choi Han's is a unique name, this great and mighty Raon Miru think to search on another language as well! This great dragon has also already learned several languages in the western continent and will learn more! I will find Choi Han's name too in these books!"

"I also want to learn another language, our youngest said he teaches us and find it together, Nya~"

"yes, me too, we will find it together, Nya!"

The children begin to read the books excitedly while Choi Han looks apologetic on the children because he knows their effort might be for nothing, he was not from this world after all, but can't say anything to stop them. Cale also know about this but decided to feign ignorance as he let out a sigh, Choi Han gaze move to him

"I'm sorry Cale - nim, I asked if they want to do it in my room but they want to tell your name meanings immediately"

"It's fine Choi Han, did you bring another book with the western continent common language or Roan Kingdom language? Novels or poems would be great"

"Yes, I thought you might want to read some as well so I brought the one you found interesting last time, Cale - nim"

Choi Han hand Cale, who feel a bit iffy on how Choi Han remembering his preference, a book with an innocent smile when Raon suddenly look up at them as if remembering something

"Choi Han! I've been thinking about this for a while, but the pronunciation of your name is unique as well!"

"I like it"

Cale chimed in, Raon nodding his head

"Of course, I like your name as the human mentioned! But my name is the best!"

"Well, his name is unique, so it's easy to remember. Also..."

Cale chuckle, half of it because seeing Choi Han's dumbfounded face while the other because he's thinking its really fitting for the protagonist to have an easy to remember names

"... And Choi Han, I can't think of a different name for you"

"You're right! Choi Han is the best name for Choi Han!"

"yes, I like it too, Choi Han!"

"Me too! I agree with our human and youngest!"

Choi Han was speechless, he didn't know how to respond to Cale and the children while their words seeped deep into his heart. He remembers the tens of years he spend inside the Forest of Darkness alone, where he repeatedly said his name like a mantra so he won't lose himself. He can't help to open and close his mouth a few times before letting out a small but genuine word of thank you. Cale only shrugs with a stoic face, thinking nothing of the conversation as he and the children focus back on their books.

They spent the entire day reading, with slight disappointment from the average 7 - years old children that they didn't manage to find Choi Han's name in the books. Choi Han treasures this day and time in his heart, just like he did every day since he found this precious home and family.
