"Okay... Your not making any sense at all here Jaz!" I cover my face with my hands
"It's easy! Just think carefully" Jaz smiled sweetly, she's always been better at maths than me! In fact, she's better at most things, She's the better twin
"I just don't understand it" how can I think carefully about this, I am deadly serious! I physically carnt remember how to do algebra
"You can do it, just simplify the expression 2 (a-3) + 4b - 2 (a - b- 3) + 5" Jaz giggles, why the heck is she laughing! It's flipping hard, we carnt all be little miss perfect!
"I give up! Screw it" I jump up quickly knocking my chair over, whoops?
"SCARLET! Why do you always manage to break everything!" Dad storms into the room. I turn around to see the chair
"It's not even broken!" I argue
"That's besides the point! It could have broken, why do you always argue!" Dad shoots me one of his 'if you weren't my child I'd hate you' glances, I get these a lot from him
"I've done my homework daddy!" Jaz stands up gracefully, not making a single sound
"Well done my lovely!" Dad smiles happily at Jaz
"I need your help with mine dad..." I say quietly, he never wants to help me with my homework. If Jaz ever would need help with her homework he would be happy to help, but not with me
"I should have known you wouldn't have finished yours!" Dad grumbles looking at me
"Please, I need help with it" i quickly pick up my chair
"I'm... Busy right now! Go pester your mother" Dad rushes out of the kitchen, I pick up my chair and sit down sadly
"Don't worry Scarlett, mum will help you" Jaz smiles down at me, her angelic face, sparkling blue eyes and sweet little dimples in both cheeks
"Yeah" I mumble

"Wheres your Homework Scarlett?" Miss Mills approaches me
"I havnt done it Miss Mills, I tried but I didn't know how" I sigh looking down at the floor
"I've told you before Scarlett! If your stuck, ask your parent or come see me!" She raises her voice
"I..."
"No, save it. That's a detention for you!" She frowns at me, taking my work from the lesson and rushing off
"Scarlett, why don't you ever do your homework" Ruth asks
"I try" I frown at her, for a best friend Ruth is quite rude, and never acts like a best friend, but she's all I've got
