A couple of rivers and mountains a far,

there stood he, the ruler of the North.

The empress of the South stood of him forth,

withal- what joined them? A shooting star!

In the dawn at the tinted sky they gazed,

as the ethereal metheors shone and blazed.

Both enchanted by the magical sight,

they took off swiftly to follow the light.

Through the woods and shallow creeks,

they ran mindlessly over the towering peaks.

Feet wet, bodies weary and wounded,

little they knew soon they'd be astounded.

No genuine star was to be found-

she was chasing the beam of his eye,

he was after the glimmer of her smile.

Their tryst was eternally bound.
