~Two Can Play at That Game~ Zhongli X Reader X Childe

◇ Chapter 1 ◇

Y/N POV

It was just another beautiful day in Liyue Harbor. Merchants were out selling their products, restaurants cooking up delicious food, and I just finished my daily commissions from the Adventures' Guild, which were very stressful, but since I got them finished, that means that I am free for the rest of the day! Which means that I can see my two very best friends! Childe and Zhongli! I've only known them for a few months but I consider them as my best friends.

Third POV

As Y/N was walking through Liyue, they spotted Childe and Zhongli sitting at a small table near a local cafe. Y/N decided to have a little fun. They snuck up behind Childe to scare him.

Y/N spotted Childe and Zhongli sitting at a table drinking some beverages, they decided the sneak up behind Childe to scare him, as a small prank. "BOO!" Y/N shouted, hugging Childe from behind. Childe let out a small yelp while spilling his beverage on himself. "Y/N! What was that for!?" He told me, he obviously was mad at them for doing that. Zhongli let out a small chuckle. "You think this is funny! She made me spill my drink on myself and on my good coat mind you!" Childe shouted at him, blushing.

"I must say, it was quite amusing." Zhongli said while chuckling as he looked at Y/N, a small blush formed on their cheeks as they smiled at him. Childe took notice of how flustered Y/N was, which in turn made him let out a pouty sigh as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Oh come on Childe, it can't be that bad!" Y/N said, leaning close to him. "Of course it's bad Y/N! You ruined my good coat!" Childe said, arms still crossed over his chest as he looked away from them. "Is there any way I can make it up to you?" Y/N stated, as they looked at Childe with big puppy dog eyes.

"There's nothing you can do-" as he was speaking, Y/N gave him a small kiss on his cheek. He looked at Y/N as his face lit up like fireworks. Y/N chuckled at his shyness. At that moment, Childe didn't care that his coat was ruined, all he cared about was that his crush just kissed his cheek. As this was going on, Zhongli was watching both of them, he didn't know what this new feeling was, but whenever he was around Y/N, he felt flustered and couldn't think straight. But that wasn't what he was feeling. He felt a different feeling. A feeling known as jealously. He hated how Y/N was giving Childe so much attention. What did Childe have that he didn't have? Deciding to set aside his jealousy, he proposed an idea.

"Oh Y/N, why don't we take a stroll through Liyue? I'm sure you need a way to destress from your daily commissions." Zhongli said as he stood from his seat. Childe followed suit, standing up, taking off his coat so his shirt wouldn't get wet. "Sure! That sounds wonderful Zhongli! Childe, do you want to walk with us?" Y/N said, as they looked at Childe, smiling brightly. "That sounds lovely Y/N, I'd love to." Childe says as he gives Zhongli the death glare. "Then it's settled, lets get going shall we?" Y/N said as they happily skip ahead the two down the stone pathway.

"I know what you're trying to do." Childe said, as he stood next to Zhongli, looking towards him. "They'll never fall in love with you, they will be mine." Childe said, as he walked past Zhongli purposely bumping his shoulder into him, then began to catch up to Y/N. "We'll see about that." Zhongli said, as he chuckled to himself, eventually catching up to Childe and Y/N.

So it begins.
