MissAvaMae: the bestest ever

After a week back at school I was ready for another break. I knew there wasn't another week long one until April, but even a three day weekend would be so nice.

When I came back Cole tried contacting me again. I told him to eff off and to never talk to me. Lacey was proud of me, especially after I showed her the message I sent him.

One good thing did come out of New Years Day though, I got a call from Modest! Management and I was informed that I've been signed to a record label and that I would be opening up for One Direction for the US and Canada leg of OTRA. I was absolutely ecstatic when I heard. I may have screamed very loudly after hanging up the phone.

Apparently they wanted me to release an EP in a month or two, and then an album in June. Tour started in July, so it made sense. I didn't think a record deal was part of the deal but it made it so much better.

"Ava, can you give me a ride home from school? My mom is stuck in a meeting and I'm too lazy to walk," Lacey frowns.

"Sure. C'mon," I smile.

She snapchats a ton while I'm driving, taking videos of us dancing and singing while we're stuck in traffic. I missed her so much while I was in LA. She's so much fun to be around. Probably why we've been best friends for most of our lives.

I dropped her off at her house and arrived at my apartment shortly after. There was a car in the drive I didn't recognize and I was slightly confused, but I think to myself that it must be one of my moms friends or a neighbors visitor or something. There weren't many people in our building so I usually noticed the different cars. I drop my bag by the door and walk into the living room, a gasp falling from my lips when I saw who was here.

Definitely not a friend of my moms.

"Harry!" I ran over to him and hugged him, making him stumble a bit. He laughs and wraps his arms around me, squeezing tightly. He lifts me off the ground and I let out a loud laugh.

"Miss me?"

"You know, I actually did," I giggle and he sets me down on the floor. My mom was in here when I walked in, but left the room to let us catch up. "How'd you figure out where I live?"

"Called your manager," he smirks.

"Let's go to my room," I suggest. He nods and follows me down the hall. I sit down on my bed and he sits across from me. "What are you doing here?"

"Well I was in the area and I was hoping to find a tour guide," he pokes my stomach and I grin.

"Any specific person you were hoping for?"

"Yeah, brunette girl, age 17, named Ava. But I'd probably call her Ave most of the time."

"I'm sure you'll find her."

He laughs and lays down on my bed. "I heard from a little birdie that you're newly single."

"Yup. Lonely and stuff."

"He seemed like a dick anyway," he shrugged. "I haven't even known you for that long and you've been upset over him a lot."

"Oh, he is. Major dick."

"What happened, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Well," I sigh. "First he said I looked like a slut in my dress on New Years. And then he cheated on me after accusing me of cheating on him with you. For revenge or some shit like that. But he was also starting dumb arguments for two weeks straight prior to that stuff."

Harry's eyes widen. "I'm relieved in a weird way. You seemed quite unhappy."

I stand up abruptly and go over to my closet. I pull out my boots and coat. "Grab your jacket, we're going on a walk."
