Why can it be that the sun shines
as the moon is there just the same?

its crevices clawing onto the firmament
is it afraid to let go?

even in the night he shines
greater than the sum of his stellar companions

and yet, he reveals himself in the sun's domain.

perhaps we are not meant to hold the moon
in such a manner.

his presence is a reminder of what is to come.
or possibly, what we already knew?

whatever it may be, he surely can be admired
for standing up to her, something she doesn't reciprocate.

we must take after the moon
his lesson lies in his actions.

because of that, he reveals himself in the sun's domain.
