"BABE, WHY are you looking at me like that?" Lani asked moving her curls around until she got them how she wanted.
"Lani, It's shorter" I said tilting my head
She was confused but then she realized "oh shit, you mean my hair yeah I just got it cut it was too much for me but I'm growing it back out" she explained crawling onto our bed cuddling with dey dey. "Well, you do look really beautiful with the short hair"
"You think I'm beautiful?" She asked with an adorable pout "of courssssee, your always beautiful and I'm sure many people thinks so too"i compliment
"Nah baby i don't think EVERYONE thinks I'm pretty" she said scrunching her nose "well i do so it doesn't matter if they do or don't" I said pecking her lips and i felt a slap in my cheek and seen adeya doing a small smile. Her and Lani started laughing at my facial expression.
"That's not funny" I said in a accent like that little girl on tiktok making them laugh even harder
"Ok but seriously though, why didn't you tell me?" I asked curiously, she just shrugged her shoulders and said "I wanted it to be a surprise"
"Well I was surprised so I guess that worked out" I say "you think it'll be the same when I pull your hair" I said pulling a pack of gushers out of my pocket tearing it open with my teeth
She gasped and widened her eyes like she was offended and covered adeya's ears
"Not infront of deya" she scolded"Dam- darn my bad" I hold my hands up in defense and looked over at deya when she started to get fussy
"Here let me hold her right quick" I reached my arms out and she handed her to me and she instantly calmed down when I started whispering a cocmelon lullaby to her and Lani rolled her eyes
"Don't be jealous cause she obviously likes me more"
"Year right" Lani says getting up and walking out of the room leaving the door cracked going to the kitchen I assume

"Lookes like it's just me and you baby dey" I say holding her against my chest and patting her back softly while she gripped my shirt
Her breathing got more shallow as I patted her back soon enough I heard her little snores
I looked up from deya and seen Lani peeking through the door holding up her phone
"You know you could've just came in here right?" I ask
"Yeah but what's the fun in that" she says laying her head on my lap while I ran my fingers through her hair
"True"
