Prologue

Heavy torrential down pour was soaking my cloak, making my hair mat against my forehead uncomfortably. Rain is like a symbol for a possible tragedy, how true is that...

My heart was was aching in grief as I walked on for miles without stopping. I was unaware of my surroundings, but I didn't care. I just need some alone time, away from the place I call home--It won't be like home anymore if she's not around--I just wanted to be away from my father. I know it makes me selfish to just leave my grieving father alone, but two grieving people shouldn't be together they only make each other depressed.

As I was lost in thoughts I suddenly realized that I was walking past my old school. Memories of learning how to use magic swirled inside my mind, etching a shadow of a smile upon my lips.

A very lean figure was running towards the iron gates. She--It looked like a she--was wearing a white cloak, completely failing in hiding her wings. Must be a newbee. I admired her swiftly jumping across the gate, as she finally made it in.

I don't know if she felt my eyes on her or what, but she glanced behind, her eyes locking with mine. I waved at her and surprisingly she waved back before entering her new home.

I stared at the door she went through a second too long before I continued walking in the rain, with no destination in mind, thinking about the stranger who for some reason made me smile...

A/N: yes, i know this makes no sense whatsoever, but bear with me okay? not everything makes sense at the beginning, you just gotta wait, in my opinion, this one is more creative than A Fakebook Lover, it's less cliche and Dwayne is just as amazing as Mark :D
