IN THE EYES OF GOSSIP GIRL and many others, NYC is divided into two sections. Those who either have two jobs or two houses. Those who either have to work their way up the social latter through hard work and determination or those who are simply born into it.
The Fitzgeralds were the exception. They were the blur between the lines. They were each so absolutely perfect in their own way you'd expect them to be apart of the manhattan elite however their social status reflected otherwise as they often were found in Brooklyn - their fancy clothes replaced with comfortable sweats and their face often dug into books.
Spencer, the only child of Mary and James Fitzgerald, squeezed this stereotypical description of her family down to its last accurate drop. Up until the death of her beloved mother and then everything fell apart.
Devastated, James turned to any substance that could help him feeling something or at least anythingother than grief. He consumed almost everything he could get his hands on until he almost wasn't in his right mind.
And as for Spencer, like most of her life, she followed her fathers footsteps. And during this spree; she connected with a blonde who ended up changing her life for the better.. at least for the most part.
