EXTENDED SUMMARY
James Potter was utterly infatuated with Lily Evans ever since he first caught a glimpse of her in first year. Everything about her captivated him, and if you asked him why, he would say it was love. He thought it was love. So, every day, for the past five years, he would proclaim his love towards her only to get rejected each time, with many people being witness.
Chéri Valentino would watch it all go down from a distance, watching as the school's heartthrob would get rejected each time would both amuse her and sadden her. She would watch the boy in love proclaim his love only for it to end up worse each time.
One particular confession ended up in a harsh slap of reality and realization that maybe he didn't really know what love was.
Until he met someone that was willing to teach him.
