It was currently midmorning that same day, you had finished baking around a hour or two ago and was in the middle of packing your things, when someone knocked on your door. "Come in!"

The door opened to reveal your step-dad Gabriel carrying a bunch of flat boxes. "Uh, your mom told me you might need a couple more boxes so I uh, got you some."

You blinked a few times before speaking. "Um you can just set them right there by the door" Gabriel put the cardboard boxes that was in his hand by your door, reaching outside of your room and grabbing a few more.

"Thank you"

"You're welcome.." He mumbled as he walked out and shut your door behind himself.

The thing about your step-dad is that he was a shy and awkward man, he was almost just as uncomfortable around you as you were around him. Anthony, like his father, is also shy but he warmed up to you within the first year the two adults been married. Your mom tried to have the three of you around each other as much as possible to try and get you comfortable with one another.

You also planned on moving out when you got back to Japan but not too soon, looking towards a medium sized apartment. You couldn't do apartments that were too small or too large, you would be more than comfortable with just a nice sized space that you could be cozy in.

A few minutes later your door burst open and you were pounced on all of a sudden. "WAA HOW DARE YOU! HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL ME YOU WERE MOVING!?" Your best friend Ray yelled with anime tears streaming down his face.

"I just found out yesterday- AND GET OFF OF ME!"

"YOU STILL SHOULD'VE TOLD ME YOU BITCH!" The lilac haired male got up off of you and pointed an accusing finger at you.

You and Ray have been friends since the first week you've been in Italy, plus the two of you work together most of the time. You had trouble understanding people during a photo shoot and he just so happened to be fluent in both Japanese and Italian and is the main reason you can speak the national language.

"How'd you find out anyway?"

"Your mom just told me- but that isn't the point, the point is I should've known the SECOND you heard about it!"

"It's not my fault I forgot"

"It is your fault! Did you plan on leaving without saying anything?"

"Well if you hadn't reminded me-"

"HA?!"

"BUT- I would've remembered eventually!"

"EVENTUALLY? THAT DOESN'T MAKE IT ANY BETTER!"

"I'M SORRY!"

"Hmph. Well, it doesn't matter cause I'm going with you."

"Huh? You can't just do that!"

"It's already decided-" The male flopped on your bed and sighed dramatically "-besides, if you're not here there's no reason for me to be here. Wherever you go, I shall follow."

"Aw, who knew you loved me so much~"

"Literally everyone knows I love you, your like the sister I never had"

"Aw! You're making me feel bad about putting beetles in your milkshake"

"YOU DID WHA-"

"I'M KIDDING"

"Mhm.."

"Either way, if your leaving with us why aren't you packing, and where are you gonna stay?"

"I'll just sale most of my stuff and if it's not gone by tomorrow then I'll just throw it away. And as for my living situation, I have a cousin who lives in Japan so even though I'll be over your house most of the time, I'll also be there."

"Ah."

"You're so dry sometimes"

"Nah I'm pretty sure I'm always wet"

"Ya nasty"

Fast forward to six in the afternoon, you had just got finished packing the things you decided to keep and threw away the things you didn't, the only thing that was left of your room was your bed some essentials you would just put in a suitcase.

Ray had helped you occasionally with the things you were comfortable with him touching such as shoes, shampoo/conditioner, and some other things, but had left a few hours later to get his things together. You offered to help but he just said he was gonna just throw everything away, except a few pairs of clothes, and that you should just relax. He didn't have much things anyway.

You stood up and stretched, moaning in satisfaction once you heard a few bones pop.

Figuring it was about time you ate something, you made your way downstairs and into the kitchen. When you got there you see Anthony trying to get a cup from the cabinet.

"You need help?" Startled by your sudden appearance, the nine year old flinched almost falling off the counter but catching himself.

"Are you okay?" You asked with concern laced in your voice. He just stared at you for a few seconds before nodding. You helped him down and got two glasses from the shelf soon after.

The child took the almost empty carton of milk out the fridge and poured the rest in the two cups while you took out some cookies for the both of you.

After a minute or two of sitting in silence you spoke up, trying to make small talk. "So, are you excited about moving to Japan?" Anthony shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't know.. I never left home before" He spoke softly, tracing the marble designs on the table.

"... Y'know, Japan has a lot of fun things to do"

"Like what..?"

"Well, they have lots of festivals, arcades, plus they have lots of good food."

"Even the okonomiyaki mom makes?" He asked with stars in his eyes. You chuckled at his sudden change of mood.

"Yup!"

"Well I have to finish packing!"

"Wait, you haven't finished yet?" You stood up and took the cups over to the sink to wash them. All dishes that were being left behind were being given to the elderly couple next door.

"No, I wanted to take a break"

"Hm. Let me help you, everything has to be done before tomorrow morning"

"It's okay, I don't want to be a bother.."

"Your fine Ant, plus I have nothing else better to do" You set them back on the shelf then turned to the boy.

"Okay"

Fun facts:
Ray is aromantic

Anthony doesn't really know how to speak Japanese, He just knows some of the basics.

Ray lives-- well now, use to live alone but he basically lives with you since he's over your house most of the time.

I have no idea why they are called fun facts if the aren't even fun

Hey hey! Again sorry for the boring chapter but next chapter we will finally get into things. Oh! And when someone is speaking in Italian in the second point of view or the point of view of any of the people who speak the language, it will be written in bold otherwise it will actually be in the language. Translations will be there, most likely at the end of the chapter. I'm still in the middle of learning Italian so when I write something in the language know it might not be correct especially if I'm using Google translate so please forgive me if anything is wrong! Peace✌🏾
