VINCENZO 2

Prologue: previously

"The Cassano family settled there. In secret of course." Vincenzo told Cha-Young who listened to him keenly. The were at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza staircase.

"Are you their boss now?" Cha-Young asked Vincenzo who had a lingering smile on his lips.

"Woah" Cha-Young exclaimed. "Your the boss now and no longer the consigliere??" She asked. This made Vincenzo's smile widen even more.

"The island serves for many purposes. It is a refuge for exhausted fighters, hide out for your loved ones and a place of healing." Vincenzo explained in one breath.

Cha-Young smiles. "Can I go there too?" She asked. "Yes" Vincenzo replied. "I've set aside a room for you" He added.

"Woah" Cha-Young exclaimed covering her mouth out of excitement. "No way, i can't wait to go there". This made Vincenzo laugh. It was only Cha-Young who could make him laugh like that. He's strong willed yet very stubborn lawyer. They just stood there looking and smiling at each other.

"I've missed you alot." Cha-Young said breaking the silence. Vincenzo looked deep into her eyes and smiled. "Me too" he replied, "you've always been on my mind ever since I left"

Cha-Young scoffs. "That's hard to believe" she said then turned and continued climbing the staircase. Vincenzo sighed and climbed after her. He pulled her to him and kissed her passionately. This kiss was intense and he knew that because it was real. This was nothing compared to that kiss at the art gallery. He poured all his heart to her in this kiss, everything he couldn't say he told her with his lips.

"Do you believe me now?" He asked her after breaking the kiss.  "Villains never break up when they are tenacious, even when they love..." He added. Cha-Young who was looking at him pulled him in and kissed him. This time she was doing the talking with her lips. She rapped her hands around his neck and brought him closer.

She had always loved Vincenzo, but she couldn't do or say anything because he had made up his mind to leave Korea after getting Geumga Plaza back, but seeing him again brought back all those memories of the time they spent together. Of the times she saw him in his good, bad and worst moments. The postcards weren't enough because it was not him. She kissed him deeply expressing all those unspoken emotions she had inside.

Vincenzo kissed her back not believing he was there and holding her in his arms. He missed her so much, there wasn't a day he didn't talk about her. Infact his whole family already knew about her without seeing her except Luca who had seen her. He missed her stupidness, she was a good lawyer but sometimes stupid, he missed all her jokes. It was only his Cha-Young who could turn a serious situation into a fun one. He even missed her signature move, the Cha-Young blowing of a kiss. He couldn't get of enough of this girl, so he kissed her. Returning every kiss she gave him. It was a moment of pure bliss for the both of them.

She stood from afar and saw the Italian delegation leaving with the man she loves walking behind them. She knew he couldn't stay but she'd not want him to go either. They had spent a year without talking to each other what if it happens again. These were the thoughts running through her head.

Vincenzo stoped and looked at Cha-Young on  the other side of where stood, but he had to leave. Not only was he trying to evade the Korean police but he had some matters to attend to back at home. He smiled at her. He knew she understood what that smile meant, his Cha-Young was smart.
After staring at her for a while longer her followed them and she never saw him again.
