Vega remembered one of the elders reading to her when she was younger. It was one of the few books the pack owned, but that was mostly because few in the pack could read. Vega, much to her dismay, was not able to read.
Why you might ask? Because most werewolves were taken as children and taught that they didn't need to read. Reading was a hobby not a priority, and hobbies won't help you survive.
Vega lives in an underground cave with the rest of her pack. She is currently in a corner waiting for her birthday. Any other birthday passed by as a normal day, but not this year. Tomorrow was the day she would get a chance to make her pack proud. Tomorrow was the day she would have her 'Coming of Age Ceremony'.
