I only knew one solution to fix this mess.
So, I didn't have to transfer Violet out of 51.
And also be able to help her if Jacobs lodges a complaint against her.
I was watching Violet and Jacobs argue.
She shoved her.
"Hey!"
I pushed both of them apart.
Kidd was surprised that Violet shoved Jacobs.
"She's the one who pulled the nebulizer mask out. I knew I restocked it."
"Yeah. Emma was fooling around in Ambo 61 shortly before the call."
"Yeah. I saw her in there too."
"Go ahead and lodge a complaint against her. You're not the only one with witnesses."
"And then I actually saw the mask. She put it in her locker." Gallo told me.
I headed into the locker room.
Severide gave me the combo to Jacobs' locker.
I opened it.
The mask was in her locker.
"We have cameras all around the Firehouse. I'm sure they caught something. Including in here. Since the guys were roughing each other up in here."
"Jacobs is gonna lose her paramedic license which she deserves."
I walked out.
"You put that patient at risk, not Violet. You're lucky I'm not allowed to transfer you out. You're done, Jacobs. You're done."
"I'm still lodging the complaint."
"Go ahead!" Kidd told her.
"Got it."
Severide showed me a video.
A camera was aimed right at the Ambo.
Violet had restocked the nebulizer kit.
40 minutes later
Jacobs went into the Ambo.
You could see her take the mask out of it.
"Thanks, Severide."
"Of course. She's one of our own. She's part of the family, not Jacobs."
Violet was on the phone.
"Please tell me you are coming back soon."
"In a couple weeks."
"A couple weeks too many."
"Is the fill-in that bad?"
"Yes."
Brett laughed.
"She took the mask out of the Nebulizer bag and tried to blame it on me for not restocking it."
"Well, it's kill them with kindness."
"Not this time. This is crossing a big line."
"That's fair. I probably wouldn't. I'd probably knock her on her ass. Consequences be damned."
"Oh, I tried to do that. I got shoved away from her by Chief Hawkins."
"Ooh. He saw you shove another paramedic?"
"Yeah."
"You do realize you could still get in trouble for that, right?"
"She shoved me first."
