Childhood friendship

Milly runs to the tree out of breath. I'm sitting under the tree reading my favourite romance. Milly reaches the tree shouting:"he likes me back!" I sit up confused:"Huh , what do u mean ?".She continues talking about this boy named Jay and how dreamy he is .
Tate: Why are u so obsessed with a BOY?!

Milly looks down , embarrassed
Milly: I-I don't know , he's kind and makes me feel special .
Tate: I'm happy for you but , aren't we to young to date
Milly: I'm keeping it a secret from my parents...
Tate: I mean we're only 13...
Milly: how was ur day ?
Me and Milly don't go to the same school , Milly is home schooled because she is autistic...
"Fine..": I reply.
"Wanna climb the tree?"Milly asks smirking.
We climb the tree to the top, I continue reading my books while Milly appreciates the view.
Milly pats my shoulder and asks:"shouldn't we get home, it's getting dark?
I look up and say:"yeah, I'll see u tomorrow then."
We part ways and head home.
I couldn't stop wondering why I got so jealous when Milly told me she was dating a boy, maybe it was because I was protective...
I couldn't sleep that night...
"What if I had feelings for Milly?"
"No , it can't be ..."
I start crying
"What am I going to do?!"

                           THE NEXT DAY
I wake up with eye bags
I get ready for school and wait for the school bus...As I'm waiting I remember last night , I try to forget the thought of Milly and my feelings .
I get to school , I head straight to the library, I see a book.. The title reads " my love ❤️" with two woman on the front kissing.
I take the book and stuff it in my bag making sure no one notices. Nervous I walk out the library.
I didn't go to the tree that day afraid I might catch more feeling .
I'm laying on my back on my bed with my new book above my head reading. Then I here a knock on the door.. I was home alone so I was scared I say nervously:" who is it?!" I hear mill saying :" it Milly!" Shaking I open the door.
Tate: Milly what are u doing here!
Milly: why weren't u at the three ?
Cmon make something up I thought to myself
Tate: oh , I had loads of homework .
Milly: Can I come in?
Tate:Yeah ofcourse
Milly: I have to tell you abt jay ...
Tate:What about him?
Milly:We broke up
I stare deeply into her eyes...
She spots my book and picks it up from my bed
What's this she asks me
I snatch it from her hands
Nothing! I say
What's going on?! Asks Milly
Ur acting strange...
I feel my heart beating in my chest
I HAVE RELATIONSHIP FEELINGS FOR U MILLY! I blurted out
I think it's time for me to go ... milly says awkwardly
It's been three years since it happened,i finally thinks she gonna catch feelings but u have to wait and see in my next part :)))
