A little help goes a long way

Regina's Pov

I sit at in my office waiting for Emma to bring me the papers I requested, yet the blonde isn't here I decide Im going to go check on the sheriff she has been acting off the last coumple of days, I get up and grab my coat and make my way over to the sheriff station,

I enter the station and don't see Emma which is odd since I know it her shift she's probably in the back in a small town like this there's not a lot of crime unless you count all the villains but it's been real quit lately so she shouldn't be busy,

I walk to the back and there was the blonde but not how I thought she'd be her hair was in a ponytail and she had what looked like pacifier in her mouth and she was sitting on the floor with a stuffed animal in her hands, she looked really cute

"Emma" I say softly I don't know what's going through her head right now but don't wanna startle her, she looks up and looks at me with fear "G-Gina uh Regina w-what are you doing here" Emma says as she quickly takes the pacifier and hides it behind her then looks down her face red with embarrassment

"Emma, Dear what's going on you know you can tell me anything we're friends right" Emma shook her head "N-no cuz I told Killian and h-he laughed at me" "Really Dear you're gonna compare me to Captain guyliner I'm no one handed rum living pirate, tell me what's going on".

"Promise you won't laugh" "I promise I won't laugh dear" " O-ok I'm a little or an um age-regressor it's where uh a person regress to a younger age it's a coping mechanism I just found out I'm not weird or anything" "I never said you were Dear and I'm glad you found something to help you." "Really" "Yes Dear is there anything else to this age-regression thing that I might help with" "Oh um yeah, but I don't think you'd want to"

"I wouldn't have asked of I didn't Emma." "Right sorry, um there's this thing it's caregiver basically like a parent or guardian for the little but like I said I don't think yo-" Emma rambles but I cut her off "Emma calm down I would like to try" "Emma looks at me r-really" "Yes, really"

I watch as something changes on her eyes she seems more happy more innocent then she jumps up and runs and hugs me tightly "thank you, thank you, thank you Gina!" She exclaims excitedly I chuckles and hug her back "You're welcome Emma"

"How about we call David in to finish you're shift and we go to my place and you and I can get to know each other" "Alright, Gina" she says she sits back down and gets her toy and her paci. She is so cute I pull out my phone and call David "Ok Emma are you ready sweetheart" "Mhms" she noded with her paci and her mouth and toy and hand and off we go to my place
