Its not the city,
But the country I call my home,
Thy blessed me with bounty,
Family, love and care,
Gave me places to visit,
Memories to cherish,
People to remember and
Be grateful to forever
Blessed me with knowledge,
Good food to live a happy life,
Money to sustain,
And contentment through experiences
I believe what I will be tomorrow,
Will be because of so many factors,
But the one that I'll never forget,
Will be my motherland.

India
PoetryHey reader, this is India through my eyes. I visited a few places of cultural importance the day before and was bewildered by the wonderful architecture and deep detailing of those sites. So I decided to dedicate this poem for my superb motherland.
