for the sun now feels cold upon my skin

but the skies still paint pretty pictures.
pictures which will always remind me of you.
but i never knew how much i loved you
until you left me on that dismal april evening.
but i know you'll still smile;
and you'll still laugh;
and you'll still live without me.
but i could never do the same.
i'll still think about you,
thinking about what could've been,
thinking about what i could've done to
stop you from leaving,
even though we both knew it would never be the same again.
i'll never be able to get you back.
if i lived life again,
i'd only do it for you.
