My Reverie

I have now long served apprenticeship
Dreading my feet come up to notice,
It's been so long I'm in a same place.
My feet, my feet are restless
And I yearn to wander in another place.

I cannot dance with joy to meet-
Each new day, for it feels incomplete.
My weary eyes are saddened,
By the thought I am imprisoned.
Within high walls, shut in from sun and dew,
I couldn't feel the wind whistling through.

The things I trade when I long to hover,
Let unto my skin the warmth of the sun linger.
Above the mountains I will fly,
Like the eagles soaring high-
Up above, past the sky.

God, one day grant my wish
Be gone all my worries.
Let my life live in harmony-
Free in all kinds of misery.
