"Gray, I'm home!" August says as he slams the front door behind him. He walks over to my room and knocks, like the perfect person he is well almost perfect.

"I'm getting dressed" I call back even though I'm not. In fact, I'm trying to buy myself time to try to figure out what to do with the big bruise on my eye.

"Well..." He says as my door opens even though I requested it not to. "I don't believe you," he says as he walks through the door.

"Did you get in a fight again in school?" He asks with a genuine tone of sadness in his voice. I think carefully about my answer.

"Nah bro, I fell on my way back from school." I answer trying to sound truthful. He shrugs and leaves my room, probably sensing my lie and not wanting to ridicule me right now. I felt bad for lying but at the same time I knew that August would have told mom even after he promises not to. After I finish all my homework I get called for takeout dinner since today mom has a night shift at the hospital, and me and August are too lazy to make dinner when mom isn't home.

"Hey, August, how was your day in school?" I ask so to not have an awkward dinner with no conversation.

"It was good Mr. Johnston is literally the worst math teacher,he gave us a pop quiz. You're lucky he doesn't teach in your school. " August answered.

"I thought you liked him?" I ask very confused.

"Well... Anyways, are you excited to go to church this Saturday?" He said quickly to change the subject, why I did not know.

"Not really 'cause then I can't go to the new movie that just came out."

"What is it? Dumbeldore's secret. Probably is, you Potter nerd." Says the somewhat intelligent brother of mine with a smirk on his face. I avoided his gazing eyes, until a question popped into my head.

"Hey August, people kept on apologizing for how you're being treated at your school. What's going on?" I questioned the suddenly stone hard face.

"I honestly have no idea," He answered suddenly, making his face cheerful, but the damage had already been done.
