Marellinh is seriously one of the best ships in this fandom, but sometimes I honestly feel like it's a little bland. Sure they've got their fire and water thing going for them, but I just wish their relationship had a little more spice.

Although they do have their opposites attract thing going on, both with their personalities and abilities, which is good enough for me to ship it.

✩Marella's POV✩

"Is everyone ready?" I asked the group. Each of them stood on the wet grass of Everglen with bathing suits and colorful water balloons in hand. Everyone nodded in determination.

"Remember, winner gets this whole plate of mallowmelt!" I said, holding up the gooey cookie cake for everyone to see.

"Ready...set...go!" I said. Sophie went for Biana, tackling her with a bright orange balloon to the face.

"Not my hair!" Biana whined, taking her soaked wavy brown hair in her hands. She begrudgingly walked over to me at the judge's table.

"Babe, no hydrokinesis!" I said to Linh, who was slyly absorbing the water vapor in the air to make little bubbles. "That's cheating!"

Linh rolled her eyes playfully, but dropped the water bubbles and reached for some new balloons. Keefe came up behind her and dropped a light blue balloon on her head, soaking her silver bangs. Linh glared but said nothing as she joined Biana at the table.

"Wanna place bets?" Biana asked Linh, who smiled and nodded. "My bet is for Dex. He's good at this." Linh pointed to a strawberry blonde boy tackling Fitz to the ground with a periwinkle balloon.

"No way, your brother is so gonna win this!" Biana argued, pointing at Tam, who was creeping closer to Sophie while concealing himself with shadows. Tam smacked Sophie's face with a midnight blue balloon and retreated to his hiding spot.

"Tam's playing it safe, and Dex is being super reckless," I pointed out, watching Dex wrestle Keefe. "I vote Tam."

"You only vote Tam because he's Linh's brother!" Sophie said, sneaking up behind us. I blushed bright red at her remark. Linh giggled, and placed a quick kiss on my cheek.

"Stop that!" I said to Linh, who was wrapping her small arms around me. "I need to concentrate on the game!"

"Do you, though?" Linh asked. I shrugged. Fair point.

"You kinda do," Keefe said, making me jump. Why is everyone spying on my conversations today? "Tam and Dex are the last people left."

Dex swirled around, trying to locate Tam, who was a few feet behind him with a pink water balloon. Dex tackled Tam with his green balloon right as Tam threw his own, causing both Tam's silver bangs and Dex's strawberry blonde hair to get soaked.

"Who won?" Dex and Tam said at the same time, turning to me.

"I think it's a tie," I said slowly. "You each get half the mallowmelt. Let's go inside to get changed."

Everyone but me ran inside as they went to get their bags from the mansion. Well, almost everyone.

"Surprise!" my girlfriend squealed, throwing her arms around me again. I turned around and brushed her dripping wet bangs out of her face. She smiled at me, her silver eyes gleaming with happiness and I couldn't help but smile back at her.

I pressed my lips against hers and grabbed both her hands in mine. Linh broke away and smiled at me. I rested my blonde head against her wet shoulder while feeling her hot breath on the back of my neck.

"You're so beautiful," Linh told me.

"Right back at you," I said, winking at her with ice blue eyes and twirling on of my woven blonde braids with my finger. Linh blushed a light pink, then took my hand and we slowly walked back to the mansion together.
