✩Sophie's POV✩

"I can't believe you," I whispered to Fitz, who looked at me with disgust.

"I thought you loved me!" I screamed at Fitz. Flashbacks of us under Calla's tree played in my head, flashbacks of us doing cognate training and saving each others lives and Fitz telling me he loved me.

"Well, I don't!" Fitz snapped at me. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I ran away, not sure where I was going exactly. Just somewhere that wasn't here.

Fitz ran off to find the chandelier, not looking back even once. I let out a muffled cry of despair and ran to where Fitz and I used to train.

The cherry blossoms shaped like hearts that fell down from the trees felt bittersweet as they made me remember Fitz. I pushed Fitz's beautiful teal eyes out of my mind and crumpled down to the grass.

I buried my face in my hands as I curled up under one of the trees with heartbreak. A cold breeze tickled the back of my neck, making me shiver.

I shoved my hands into the pockets of my magenta jacket. The pockets comforted my hands with a warm, cozy sensation...and something else. Something I didn't know how to describe.

For the first time in my life, I felt safe and loved. Like I was going to be okay. I cried tears of relief as my mind cleared of all doubt, worry, and sorrow. The pieces of my heart that Fitz shattered slowly pieced back together perfectly.

"I love you," the pockets whispered at me. "I always have. Please tell me you love me too."

"Yes," I said happily. "I love you, too. I can't believe I didn't realize it until now, pockets."

"Call me Pocky," the pockets said to me. "But there's something I need to tell you."

"Anything," I said.

"Chandy is my sister," the pockets said with disappointment. "I understand if you feel-"

"That's fine!" I said. "I don't care about Fitz, or Chandy. I only want you."

The pockets smiled brightly, as my eyes lit up with delight. Their smile was so beautiful. The prettiest thing I've ever seen.

"Sophie, want to go to Havenfield?" Pocky asked me.

"Of course, anywhere but here," I grinned, as I light leaped to Havenfield with my one true love.
