"Klaus can you please can get her shoes on for me because she literally just keeps throwing them off." The mother sighed and rubbed her face tiredly
It had been two weeks since the Velesco came back and Xila woke up. Things have been crazy and getting caught up was everything was even crazier

But back in the Velesco household Klaus first lightly laughed at what Zeara said then nodded and walked towards the child who was crawling around
"Love does she really need shoes? She's not walking yet so does it really matter." He was genuinely asking as he didn't really know how to take care of a baby
And Zeara knew that but still whipped her head and gave him a look and her stern voice "Yes, it does matter because if she's crawling her feet are still close to the ground and her little feet need to be protected!"
Klaus playfully rolled his eyes and held his hand up in defense "Ok ok. But if you look at it the way you do then wouldn't she need protection for her knees? You know like knee pads maybe?"
Yes Zeara had her humanity on, however they still had banter and continued to talk. So the vamp-witch gave him a tired look and crossed her arms
"Now is not the time for jokes because I promised Mrs Lockwood we would be there 20 minutes before it's supposed to start meaning we have to leave in like 10 minutes. Plus I don't even have my dress on or my hair done!" The brunette was honestly freaking out because she knew how important this was to Carol
She wanted to show up on time and prove that she cared for Mrs Lockwood, even though the women knew that Zeara cared for her
When Zeara started getting a little worked up Klaus instantly walked over to her and put his hand on her arm "I'm sorry love, just go get ready and I'll get her shoes on."
Taking a moment the brunette took a deep breathe then stared at Klaus with a soft grateful smile
Which made him softly smile back "Now go get dressed because we don't want to miss out on this precious little pageant do we?"
