"Dada!"

"What happened, buddy?"

"Auntie Lottie is here!"

"Oh, you opened the door for them? What did I tell you about opening the door, Alex?"

"But it was just Auntie Lottie!" - He screamed and intended to run away from me.

I shook my head and stepped forward, taking him up in my arms - even though he's getting heavier every day - and walking out of the kitchen.

He screamed and squirmed in my arms until I got to the living room, where my sister was already chatting with the other guests.

"Hi sis."

"Hey you." - She smiled, kissing my cheek and tickling Alex in his tummy. - "How's birthday boy?"

"He's getting more and more rebellious each year, that's for sure."
