✩Biana's POV✩

"Ready for the sleepover?" I grinned at my brother with excitement, carrying a stack of blankets to the huge, empty room in Everglen that Fitz and I have claimed as the official sleepover room.

"Yeah, who should we invite?" Fitz asked.

"Sophie, Keefe, Tam, Linh, Marella..."

"Dex!" Fitz interrupted, taking out his Imparter as I rolled my eyes at him.

"This'll be an interesting sleepover," I muttered as Fitz called Dex first, obviously.

"You can call Sophie, Marella, and Linh," Fitz offered as Dex picked up his Imparter, Fitz's eyes sparkling as the strawberry blonde boy's face lit up his screen.

"Sure," I said, taking out my own Imparter to call a certain blonde girl with gold flecked eyes.

"Biana?" Sophie asked, her face lighting up with delight.

"Fitz and I are having another sleepover!" I announced cheerfully.

"Another one?" Sophie asked me, rolling her eyes and smirking. "Ever since we defeated the Neverseen, you've been throwing parties every other day."

"So you'll be there?"

Sophie giggled. "Duh!! I wouldn't miss it for the world." My heart did a triple backflip as Sophie smiled dazzlingly and her teeth sparkled with sincerity.

"See you there," I said giddily, hanging up and calling Marella and Linh, who were most likely in the same place and somehow not dating yet.

✩Tam's POV✩

"I brought mallowmelt!" Keefe declared, holding up a plate of the gooey elf cookie cake Linh loved. His ice blue eyes sparkled with excitement as he rushed over to hug Fitz, sending a twinge of this weird feeling into my gut that was anything but enjoyable.

Hate?

Yeah, it was probably hate.

Linh twirled a strand of the silver tips of her black hair on her finger, waiting for Marella to arrive. I helped her pick out an outfit before the party that complimented her eyes; we eventually settled on a baby blue dress paired with a matching light blue ribbon to tie up her hair.

"She'll love it," I promised Linh as she anxiously chewed on her fingernails, one of her nervous habits.

"Really?" Linh whispered to me, gazing out one of the windows, hoping to spot Marella bouncing over to the door.

"Yes, really!" I said with a chuckle that only Linh could ever get from me.

"If you say so," Linh smiled at me, turning her attention back to the group.

"Who wants to play Base Quest?" Biana asked everyone, who cheered with approval as everyone clamored to reach the door to the outside.

"Fitz and I will be the team captains, obviously," Biana said with mock arrogance. "I choose Sophie."

The blonde girl happily trudged to Biana's side, beaming at her with pride.

"I choose Dex," Fitz said, pointing to the strawberry blonde haired boy who pumped his fist in a "Yes!!" motion before joining Fitz's side of the field, mouthing, "I am so gonna beat you and your girlfriend," at his best friend smugly. Sophie rolled her eyes and gave her cousin a less-than-friendly gesture in a teasing way, but not before her gaze and flickered to Biana's confident expression and her face heated up with embarrassment.

"Marella," Biana called, who was running over the group standing in the patch of grass and waving at everyone, but especially Linh, frantically. Sophie glared at the other blonde girl as she moved to Biana's other side, jumping with joy and too much caffeine.

"Keefe," Fitz called, motioning a beaming blonde boy with stupidly handsome ice blue eyes to his side.

"Tam," Biana called my name, and Fitz called Linh to his team.

"We'll guard," Biana offered, taking off her black leather jacket and revealing her spaghetti-strap dark purple top, causing Sophie to turn away while covering her nose that was probably profusely bleeding. "This can be our base. Watch your ass get whipped, Fitzy."

"We'll see about that," Fitz smirked and Dex mouthed the good-natured nickname Wonderbitch to Biana before going to catch up with Fitz, with Keefe and Linh following him much more slowly.

"No telepathy allowed!!" Biana yelled at Fitz as he ran away to break Biana's very serious rules that she wasn't about to break at all with Sophie's abilities.

"And no pyrokinesis, Marella," Biana reminded, causing Marella to slump down in disappointment. "Tam and I can use ours, though."

Marella complained to Sophie about the unfairness of Biana's rules as Biana pulled me aside. "Guard behind the jacket. I'll take the front, and Soph and Marella will do the sides. Got it?"

I nodded with determination as Biana whistled loudly, signaling the start of the game. I took my place behind a tree facing the leather jacket laying on a patch of grass. A blonde head poked out from the trees, moving in the shadows as quietly as he could. I ran up behind him, tackling him to the ground by pinning his head down face first and grabbing both his hands to grip behind his back.

"Hey, Bangs Boy," Keefe smirked at me, giving me a moment to realize I was sitting on top of him, my knees digging into his shoulders.

"Hey," I said as drily as I could in that situation, begging my voice not to falter and my slight blush not to show as I pinned him to an oak tree and tied him there.

"See you later, Tammy!" Keefe said smugly as I ran away from the tree I tied him to, trying to push the image of Keefe's smirking face out of my mind.

✩Linh's POV✩

I kept myself low on the ground as I creeped toward Biana's leather jacket, looking around to see any guards watching me. Spotting no one in my way, I sprinted towards the jacket and almost grabbed it my with soft hands, only to be pinned down by a blonde girl with icy blue eyes and a triumphant expression on her face.

"Hey, Linh," Marella said confidently, pinning my elbows to the grass below me as a pink dusting covered my cheeks and I prayed that she wouldn't notice.

I gathered all my energy and imagined the water vapor in the air hitting my not-crush in the face and sure enough, a blast of water splattered Marella's blonde braids, causing her to loosen her grip on my elbows and allowing me to run and take the leather jacket, running off to my team with my arms held high in victory.

Fitz smirked at his sister while everyone pretended to ignore the fact that Fitz and Dex were not found by anyone the whole game. Biana glared at him murderously with her hands clenched into fists.

"Should we all go inside for dinner?" I offered, winning everyone's approval as the smell of starkflower stew and custard bursts wafted into the air around Everglen's main kitchen.

Marella walked up to me as everyone trudged off for their food. "You did pretty well," she complimented. I grinned at her, flashing her a competitive smirk I learned from Keefe.

"You didn't do too bad yourself," I fired back, taking her hand in mine in a very heterosexual way as we ran to catch up with the rest of the group.
