✩Fitz's POV✩

"So you're telling me that Tam told Keefe he loved him and then they ran off together and haven't been seen for an hour?" I asked my sister again, who nodded, confirming the story.

"Oh my god, that's so weird," I said, rolling my eyes and opening them to see Biana trying to hold in her snickers.

"What?" I asked her.

"You literally did the exact same thing," Biana said between wheezes as she rolled on the floor with Sophie.

"I did not!" I protested as an strawberry blonde boy came up behind me.

"We kinda did," Dex pointed out. "No, not kinda. We exactly did just that."

"Well, when we do it it's okay," I yelped at him as he kissed my cheek briefly, sending bright crimson blush to spread across my face like butter.

"True," Dex grinned. "But seriously, at this point I'm getting a little worried...maybe we should try to find them."

"Are you kidding?" Sophie asked her cousin with disbelief. "If it turns out they aren't in danger, we just end up walking in on them making out!"

"Yeah, but they might actually be lost or something," Dex argued. "Fitz, back me up on this."

"Dex is right," I said instinctively, earning an eye roll from both Sophie and Biana.

"No, seriously, Tam might be hurt," Linh popped up behind Dex, making me jump slightly as she walked to the center of the square we made. "I'm siding with Dex on this one."

"Okay, but don't you think Keefe and Tam are strong enough to take care of themselves?" Marella stepped in. "They're fine, they're just kissing or whatevs."

"Even if they are kissing," Dex pointed out, struggling to maintain the flat, serious expression on his face as his lips contorted into what looked like a repressed snicker. "It would be kind of hilarious to walk in on them like that."

"If being killed counts as hilarious, I agree with Dex," Biana said. "Tam would skin us alive, one by one."

"It would still be so worth it," Dex snickered unapologetically, receiving an elbow in the ribs from Sophie.

"Let's go find them!" Dex shouted, charging out the door with me and Linh chasing after him loyally. Sophie and Biana ran after us to make sure we didn't get murdered by Tam, and Marella ran behind everyone else with a camera in hand, trying to get more followers on Tik Tok.

"Alright guys, my nerdy idiot tech friend is gonna get himself killed by a feral Emo," Marella whispered to her live followers. "Stay tuned for more as techy boy and his boyfriend try to make it out alive, while the best person here, me, follows them with the second best person here, Linh." Marella flashed Linh an excited grin as Linh waved sweetly at the camera. "Oh, and the local sapphics are also here." Marella turned the camera away from Linh and to Sophie and Biana.

"Marella, stop filming us!" I yelled over my shoulder indignantly.

"Shut up, Chandelier Boy, or I'll tell everyone about Mr. Snuggles!" Marella screamed as I turned away to hide my embarrassed face.

"Fine," I grumbled as I did my best to catch up with Dex, who was charging into the forest in rapid speeds.

"Tammy, Lord Hunkyhair! Where are yooouuuu?!" Dex screeched, sending birds flying away from us for their dear lives.

"Is that...?" Dex said as he screeched to a halt, peering into the darkness to see two boys wrapped in each other's embrace. He turned to me as if to say, What do I do?!, as he nervously backed away from the couple that still hadn't noticed people were watching them. I shrugged at him and closed my eyes, letting my Telepathy do its thing.

I think we should wait for the others, I broadcasted to Dex's mind, making him jump with surprise and send me a glare.

You really need to stop that, he glared. It freaks me out every fucking time.

Why, do you have something to hide? I said, wiggling my eyebrows. Dex glared at me as he blushed a bright red that looked especially dark against the pale moonlight peeking through the trees.

Not anymore, he admitted. But it's still super weird.

Fair enough, I shrugged as Biana, Linh, Marella, and Sophie came up to us and looked at Tam and Keefe.

Don't say anyth-, I transmitted to the three as Marella yelled while holding up her phone set on recording, "THERE YOU ARE, LOVEBIRDS! YOU'VE BEEN GONE FOR SIXTY EIGHT MINUTES AND THIRTY TWO SECONDS!"

"Oh my god," I muttered to myself as Tam pulled away from Keefe and shot Marella the scariest glare I've ever seen in my life. And I've had Dex hate me for years!

"What the fuck are you guys doing here?" Tam snarled at everyone, especially Marella and her camera.

"It was Dex's idea," Marella said quickly and receiving another death glare, but not from Tam. Tam was more interested in glaring at Dex.

"In my defense, I thought you were in danger," Dex defended himself.

"I'm definitely not the one in danger here," Tam growled before chasing after Dex furiously, with Marella chasing the two with her phone.

"Say goodbye to the camera, Dexy!" Marella called after him, earning a middle finger instead of a wave goodbye from the Technopath.

"Eh, same thing," Marella said to herself as she waved goodbye to her devoted followers.
