✩Biana's POV✩

"Marella's got a death wish," Sophie said to me softly, her warm brown eyes twinkling with something I couldn't translate. Happiness? Comfort? I couldn't tell.

"She really does," I chuckled, even though I wasn't paying attention to Marella anymore. Sophie's eyes slowly widened as she found my teal ones lingering on her lips. My heart dropped with disappointment as she closed them.

"What are you doing?" she asked, tripping over her words and making her sound even cuter. I giggled at the bright red splotches on her cheeks.

"Oh, nothing," I promised her. Sophie raised her eyebrows playfully.

"What?" I giggled. "I wasn't doing anything!" Sophie smiled, and grabbed my hands with hers and looked into my eyes with hers, her chestnut eyes holding a new confidence in them as she smirked at me.

"Oh really?" Sophie whispered in my ear as she leaned closer to me. I breathed softly against her silky blonde hair as she pulled her lips away from my ear and fluttered her eyes at me, intertwining her fingers into my hands.

"What if I wanted you to?" Sophie said in a quiet, husky voice, taking my hands that she was clutching in pinning them against a large oak tree. The woods felt quiet, felt empty, felt private as she looked at me. My heart raced to rapid speeds as she inched her face closer to mine. She was so close. Her breath blew against mine, and her hands were still holding my wrists to the oak.

"What?" I managed to whisper.

"Do you want to do something?" Her lips inched closer to mine, and I felt my cheeks almost catch on fire with flusterness.

"Yes," I breathed out before crashing my lips against hers. She shoved my wrists against the oak tree harder as I tasted her sweet, vanilla chapstick on her lips. The scent of Sophie's hair wafted into my nose, filling my senses with an overload of vanilla and lemon and soft pink rosebuds.

"I love you," she confessed after breaking the kiss, pulling her lips from mine.

"I love you too," I told her before breaking my hands free from her loosened grasp, cupping her cheeks with my hands and kissing her again. She pulled her lips away from me again as I released a small breath of frustration.

"You look so beautiful," she told me, her eyes shining golden with that look again. Love?

"Shut up and kiss me," I told her, and she did just that.
