A little request from @KyliaTheVanisher, more Tiana! Hope you enjoy, Kylia!

By the way, I just realized it's possible to dedication chapters to people, so that's super cool. Anyways...

✩Tam's POV✩

"Pathetic," Alvar scoffed at me as my eyes widened at him. "It's just an imp. Kill it or you're not eating dinner tonight."

I gulped. "But why?"

"Because it's the best way to get used to killing without actually killing anyone," Alvar explained, rolling his eyes at my still baffled expression.

"But I am killing someone," I said slowly, turning towards the imp's wide, pleading eyes. "I'm ending an innocent life."

"Song, if you're not interested in ending lives of others, we don't need you on this team," Alvar growled. "Kill it, or I'll get Lady Gisela to supervise your training. And she's much less forgiving than I am."

"Don't call me Song," I said, gritting my teeth. Alvar snorted.

"I call you what I want to call you," Alvar said rudely, glaring at the imp and back to me before turning his back on the both of us. "You're going to stay outside until it's dead. Come back when you wanna stop acting like a toddler." Alvar stepped inside the Neverseen's hideout cave, disappearing down the rocky corridors as his footsteps faded into the darkness.

I sighed and sat down next to the imp, looking into its cute, wide eyes. It was scared, and it had every right to be.

"Please go," I whispered to the imp. "Before I change my mind." The smell of dinner would be wafting into my nose any minute, and the only way I was going to get any was by murdering an innocent animal. Perhaps I could run away, and find a patch of berry bushes. But I still had the tracker bracelet the Neverseen's Technopath made for me, which would alert me if I broke it or moved an inch.

"Please go," I begged the animal, but it didn't seem to understand me. I flopped onto my back and looked up at the dusky purple sky dappled with stars and teal cloud splotches painted against the purple background.

The teal clouds reminded me of her eyes. Biana's eyes. Biana's beautiful teal eyes. What would she think of me killing the imp? She would probably hate me if I did. She wouldn't kill it, another reason to not kill the cute little creature.

"Tam?" a voice called from the forest. I sat up instantly and scrambled to my feet, taking the dagger the Neverseen equipped me with out of my pocket and holding up my arm to get ready to strike.

"Who's there?" I said to the mess of pine trees. "Who's there?"

"It's me, Biana!"

I froze. "Biana?" I asked softly, dropping my arm down to my side.

"Tam!" Biana whispered as she flung herself out of the forest and wrapped her arms around me. I dropped the dagger to return the hug, burying my face into her shoulder.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her quietly once she pulled away, her bright teal eyes shining with relief.

"I came to see you," she answered, making my face turn a light pinkish hue. "Oh, I'm just so happy you're okay!"

"I can take care of myself," I pointed out, earning an eye roll.

"I know," she said. "But I still came. Oh, and I brought you some starkflower stew Sophie made. And a card from your sister."

Biana's cheeks blushed the same color as mine as I looked at her and blinked, before throwing my arms around her again.

"Thank you," I said gratefully, receiving myself a simple nod.

"It's fine, Tam," Biana smiled at me, handing me the container of stew and a plain white envelope.

"No, seriously," I chuckled. "If you didn't come, I wouldn't have gotten to eat today."

Biana's brow furrowed with concern and sympathy. "Really?"

"Yeah," I gave her a sad smile.

"Thank god I came, then," she exclaimed, plopping down on the grass beside me, looking up at the stars with dreamy eyes.

"How did you get here anyway?" I asked Biana, making her pink cheeks turn pale. She bit her lip.

"Don't tell Sophie, but I kind of stole Silveny?" Biana giggled nervously as I dropped my jaw in shock.

"Oh my god, how?!" I whisper shouted, making Biana giggle again as my heart lifted up to where it was supposed to be, like a puzzle piece fitting into its place. It just was simply right.

"I honestly don't know," Biana admitted. "I just...took her. Easier than I thought it would be."

"Sophie's gonna be pissed," I warned her, making Biana laugh.

"Worth it to see you," she confessed, making my heart flutter with a thousand different types of butterflies. She looked into my eyes as the smile on her face faded away.

"What's wrong?" I asked her, lying down on the grass next to her and grabbing her hand.

"When are you coming back?" she asked me softly.

"When you guys come and rescue me," I answered with a chuckle. Biana stayed silent for a moment before speaking again.

"I miss you, Tam," she said softly to me.

"I miss you too," I replied. "But I have these bracelets the Neverseen made me."

"So what?" Biana asked me softly, turning on her side to face me. "If we ran, we could get you on Silveny and bolt."

I chuckled softly. "Too risky."

"Ugh, but then what will you do?" Biana wailed.

"I'll wait for you," I answered her. "I'll still be here when you come back with some kind of plan."

Biana smiled at me. "You promise?"

"Of course. You'll be back soon, I know it."

"I will," Biana reassured to me before standing up.

"Be back soon," Biana said, waving at me before disappearing into the forest, her wavy dark hair bouncing behind her as she ran away.
