✩Pocky's POV✩

"Pocky?" Sophie's beautiful voice called to me.

"Yes, my love?" I said tenderly, staring into Sophie's warm brown eyes that were flecked with golden dapples, always shining in sync with the sunlight.

"You know I love you right?" the girl said to the pockets.

"Of course," the pockets said softly as Sophie lifted up her sleeve to her face, breathing against the soft lips of her sleeve pockets.

"Remember that, because there is something I have to do. It's for your own good," Sophie said, tears filling her eyes and making them turn glassy with regret.

"What is it?" Pocky asked her, a pit of dread rapidly growing inside their pocket stomach as they considered the possibility that Sophie was going to break up with them. Or worse...

"I need to wash you," Sophie sobbed, blinking away tears. "In the washing machine."

"What?" I whispered in disbelief. "But, after all the times we had together..."

"I'm sorry," Sophie apologized. "But you need a bath. You stink."

"Jeez, Sophie, that hurts," I said, obviously wounded as Sophie looked at me with sympathy, before sliding her jacket off and carrying it to the washer.

"No, Sophie, please don't do this..." I pleaded at my girlfriend as she opened the door to the washing machine.

"It's for the best," Sophie said as she shut the door.

"Sophie, please," I cried from inside the machine. "I hate baths!" But the blonde girl simply walked away, leaving me with the soapy suds of the water inside the contraption.

✩Sophie's POV✩

I ran downstairs to the washing machine as soon as I heard the ding! go off, signaling that Pocky was ready to be taken out. I still loved them, I really did. But they needed to fix themself before I could be with them, even if it costed their trust in me. It was for the best.

"Pocky?" I whispered as I opened the door, my warm brown eyes lighting up with delight as I gazed upon the clean magenta jacket in the machine.

"Sophie!" Pocky cried, blinking away tears of relief and smiling at me. But their smile quickly faded away as they remembered what I did. "You monster!!"

"I'm sorry, Pocky, but it's over now," I promised. "We can start a new life together."

"How can I ever trust you again?!" Pocky screamed at me furiously. I hung my head in shame, making their angry expression soften.

"I'm sorry," Pocky mumbled in my arms. "I just can't seem to trust you anymore."

"Please let me earn back my trust," I pleaded at Pocky, whose pocket eyes looked at me before reluctantly nodding. I flung my arms around the jacket before throwing it over my shirt happily.

"Thank you, Pocky," I whispered, earning a small smile from the pockets.
