"Annie needs our help. She needs my help." "She killed Scouts, Xena! She's a threat!" "And so was I, but you gave me a chance! How is she any different?!" --
"Annie..please.."
Xena approached the Female Titan before her, the Titan's eyes gleaming with sadness and regret. Xena held up her hand, her fingertips grasping the Titan's skin gently. The Titan's rigid breath became steady as Xena's eyes began to water.
"Annie, please..let me help you."
The Female Titan blinked it's eyes before a sudden change happened. The Titan itself began to shed tears, an incredible display it was for everyone in the area. This monster..this thing that has killed fellow soldiers..surrender itself to a mere human.
A mere human with powers, yes. But no power Xena had caused this. All of it was just because she showed Annie mercy. Because she had the heart to help her instead of trying to capture her.
"Annie..come on out. I won't let them hurt you."
Annie was hesitant, looking from Xena to the remaining Scouts around her. Eren, in his Titan form, began breathing heavily and this caught Xena's attention.
"Eren, don't! We're helping her! Get ahold of yourself!" She shouted, looking back to Annie. Annie stared at Xena for a bit longer before she closed her eyes and steam emerged from her Titan's nape.
"I got you, Annie. No one will hurt you while I'm here."
