✩Sophie's POV✩

"Hey, babe," I said, kissing my girlfriend's cheek gently. Biana gave me puppy dog eyes as I pulled away to smile at her.

"Only on the cheek?" she pouted, grabbing the sides of my face. I crashed my lips against her own this time, pulling her in by the back of her neck.

"That's better," Biana whispered into my lips while leaning her forehead against mine. Her wavy dark brown hair brushed against my golden blonde strands, sending sparks up my arm. A voice behind us cleared its throat.

A short, blonde girl with her arms folded across her chest turned to look at us with slight irritation. "Get a room," she mumbled.

"This is my house," Biana pointed out. Marella shrugged.

"To be fair, you were the one to invite me. Ya can't complain much," Marella said, flipping her hair to imitate Biana, earning herself a teal eye roll.

"And now I'm wishing I hadn't," Biana said while gritting her teeth. A powerful bubble of water splashed her in the face, leaving her long, wet hair plastered over her face. She pulled the strands of dark chocolate brown away and glared at the tall, silky-haired Hydrokinetic holding hands with Marella.

"Thanks, sweetie," Marella grinned, kissing Linh on the cheek sweetly, making Linh's cheeks turn bright pink with flusteredness.

"Aww, you're cute when you blush," Marella giggled, making Linh redden even more while Biana and I proceeded to make gagging noises. Marella shot us a glare.

"Now you know how it feels," she said, sticking her tongue out at us as she intertwined Linh's fingers with hers. "Screw you guys."

"I mean, I can do that~," Biana said with a flirtatious smirk that looked surprisingly attractive despite her soaked face and hair. I turned away from her, pulling my blonde hair over my face to hide my flushing cheeks. I heard a splash behind me, indicating Linh had struck Biana with another water splash to the face.

"Gross," Marella said in a voice of mock disgust, leaning over away from Linh and pretending to vomit. Linh giggled at the three of us with the knowledge she was the only one out of the four of us acting even remotely sane.

"Are we going to go to the Forbidden Cities or not?" I mumbled, reluctantly turning my gaze back to the group. Biana smiled a small grin and held up her cobalt blue crystal to the light pouring through the Everglen windows.

"Ready?" she said to me and the two other lesbians in the room, grabbing my hand with her right hand. I grabbed Linh's hand, and Marella grabbed hers. We leaped away to a crowded building gleaming with lights in a billion different colors, and modern potted plants lining corners. The sound of heels clacking against the pristine floor mixed with shouts and chatters from everyone around us reminded me of the times I went to the mall with my parents. I always felt out of place there, like a puzzle piece that didn't quite fit, no matter how hard you tried to push it in. But with my girlfriends and some of my best friends, I felt a little more secure.

I turned to Biana and couldn't help but crack a smile as I saw the twinkling hearts in her eyes as she looked upon all the clothing stores. Seeing her happy made me feel happy, too, I've realized. She ran off to the nearest store, shining with pale white lights and boasting fancy handbags and heels from brands I had no idea existed. Marella and Linh trailed after her, making me follow them anxiously into the sea of dresses and shoes.

"Guys, look at this!" Biana squealed from a table displaying heels. Her hands grazed over an elegant pair of black cage shoes that were propped up at least six inches. Her eyes sparkled as I walked over to her, unclasping my hands as a wave of her bright smile washed away my discomfort.

"So pretty," Biana gushed at the shoes, making me roll my eyes at her with mock annoyance. I kissed the side of her head, reddening her cheeks with a light crimson blush.

"Just buy them, love." I handed her a stack of rainbow dollar bills Dex gave me for my coming party.

"Wait, seriously? But this is your last stack..." Biana glanced at her beloved pair of shoes, then to the stack of rainbow cash, then back to me.

"I'll find a way to get Dex to get me more. It's pretty easy to bribe him," I told her, causing her eyes to brighten a little as she snatched the pair of shoes off the table.

"Thanks, babe," Biana said to me, kissing me on the lips briefly. I looked into her eyes deviously, leaning my face in closer to hers.

"Is that all?" I whispered in her ear, cupping her opposite cheek with her hand. She shivered before crashing her lips against mine, pulling me in by my waist and digging her nails into my back. I lifted her by her thighs, pushing her up against the wall next to us and kissing her more deeply. She ran her fingers through my hair as we kissed, massaging my hand with her soft, warm hands. I tasted her minty jasmine chapstick on her lips, the soothing scent I savored with all of my heart.

"We probably shouldn't add a clothing store to the places we've made out, Soph," Biana whispered to me warily, scanning the area behind me with her nervous teal eyes.

"Probably not," I said, grinning wildly as I set her down on the floor below. "Keefe would torment us."

"He's the one to talk," Biana snorted. "I once saw him making out with Tam in my closet."

"A closet. Now that's ironic," I stated, earning a wheezing laugh from Biana that sounded like the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. No, it was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.

"No kidding," Biana laughed, the corners of her eyes crinkling with amusement. I smiled at her for a little too long, admiring her long, luxurious eyelashes that fluttered at me whenever she spoke and her ethereal teal eyes that were just the right shades of a relaxing blue lagoon.

"What?" she asked me, hints of amusement creeping into her tone.

"I love you," I giggled at her, refusing to close my eyes in my small laugh.

"I love you too, you dork," Biana giggled back, sending butterflies to flutter around in my stomach like lovestruck idiots.
