Summary:
Was it all just an elaborate lie?
He could swear that all of the time he had spent with Apollo was real.
All the nights sleeping on the cabin roof, under the watchful eye of the huntress, under the constellations. Cuddled up and kept warm by the sun god as his personal heater.
But why had Annabeth looked over him, concerned every time he mentioned Apollo in a favourable light, asking if he was feeling alright. Why was everyone else so insistent that he had a strong dislike for gods if he was so sure he was dating the bright one.

He had woken up with nothing to his name but his pen sword on his first night at the wolf house, just seconds before wolves had approached him from the bushes. Wasn't the world all kinds of wonky when he'd accepted the crazy, messed-up world of the gods and monsters as his reality without too many questions? Probably.
But he had known he was a demigod like he knew his name was Percy Jackson, like he had vague notions of someone he had once known as Apollo. Whether said someone was indeed the god or merely someone who had been named in honour of the god.
As he ran from Beano and Muriel, he vaguely remembered some of the things Apollo, and he had done. Nothing concrete or remotely practical like places because he had the worst luck, but feelings, the warmth, the positive vibes. He's almost positive those little flashes of bliss were what was keeping him going.
To find out who this Apollo is and get more of those moments. Those little slices of Elysium, where all of his anxieties seem to melt away.

Percy's mouth tasted like Iris' sour green tea. He wanted to think that Phineas was just psyching him out, trying to intimidate him into doing what he wanted. But something told him that the prediction was accurate; he had remembered Juno's warning when he had chosen to continue on to camp Jupiter.
